Any suggestions for a stripped rocker boss?
I have 3500 heads and an intake rocker threads on the head are stripped.
Do you think I can tap and use a 10 mm rocker from a 2000 -2005 3400
I can't be the first that has has this issue. Top is all buttoned down and if my idea will work it will save my butt.
PLEASE ADVISE AS I AM AT A STOPPING POINT AND I NEED YOUR ADVICE

yeah you can do that or use a helicoil for the 8mm stud also there are a few threads on GAGT about it with pics

I would heli-coil it. It is quite common actually

I you tubed heli-coil and now I just have to see who carries it and make sure no bits get into the motor. I should be able to mask it good enough . Ill post picks of the on motor "surgery" onece the patient is in post op .
