I was thinking about getting a CAI for my Alero for a few reasons.

I wanted to get one so I can use it at the track.

I also wanted to upgrade my WAI for the street.

My question is: Does anybody use these on the street in regular street conditions, like rain and snow. I'm worried about the intake sucking up water. I know that it happens if you drive thru a deep puddle, but what about driving in a driving rain or snow storm?

Same here, u shouldn't have ne problems. I live in Pittsburgh, all summer it rained and now it hasn't stopped snowing and mine is fine. I got mine from fdp performance and it came in 1 week and their customer service is great. The guy there answers any questions u have usually that day. Here's a pic of mine installed.

I live in Ohio had mine for about 6 months been through snow rain everthing and had no problems. Make sure you get a good filter like K&N.

I've had mine on for approx. 9 months, I drive through quite a variety of elements up here and it's been completely fine.
You have nothing to worry about.

What kind of intakes do y'all have? I know that r53silver91s has a FDP.
My WAI is just some no-name with a ractive filter

Most have the 1 from APoC, doctorspeed.com, or made their own for about $60, its in the how to section, and most everyone who has done that have been happy with it.

The one I have is FDP, but FDP is supplied by APOC. so they are same.

FDP, it only took 5 days to get mine and the sound is priceless!

I got mine from DrSpeed. It took 5 days to get here. Sounds great. No problems through rain or snow. Gotta love the cai

I made my civic intake for about $65 on my alero... had it on at least a year here in Indiana, thre snow two winters and enough rain, didn't go through and deep deep puddles like a foot or something crazy, But who would..... you shouldn't have to worry about it unless your tring to float across some puddle :) good luck!

Actually fdp had the first designe of our intkae and we use dto buy from them.
border fees started to kill me though.
we use the same designe but we have our own suppliers.
he has had better luck than me getting parts.
things are looking up though and my back order will be over soon.
