use brute force!

NickAlero2000 04-12-2009 01:46 PM

It may be sealed at the holes, thats what I did with mine when it went on, I can't see why GM wouldn't want to seal it, seals keep out paint.
Be careful not to rip any paint off, carefully use brute force pretty much.

so, stick chisel under it wrapped in cloth, and then PUSH!!

don't do that... take a heat gun and heat it under the trunk lid... it is like a two sided tape that holds the wing on... once it's heated it should remove easier... just use a wide flat blade or paint scraper and slowly pull up on the wing and use the scraper to separate the tape from the truck lid

Agreed. Like 25lb test should do it. ("Test" is how fishing line strength is measured, the higher the number the stronger the test.)
Also, use some heat.

so i was considering taking off the spoiler also .. but i was considering not having one.. how would you get rid of the holes?

i wouldnt think a little fab work and molding would be that hard lol

natedawg9640 04-12-2009 11:10 PM

it's not if you have the resources to do it... gotta paint it though and not many people can do that themselves... so they are stuck paying a shop to do it... which is more expensive that tradeing trunk lids.
