Odometer stuck at 999999
Well my g/f's alero started reading 999999 on the odometer yesterday. The car has around 90,000 not 1,000,000. I checked all fuses and everything like that and I come up with nothing. Also, I have never modified the cluster or anything else of the sort in her car. What do you guys think is the issue?

lol tell the newspapers u got a car 1mil miles
teh longest running alero evar!
but sorry, I really have no idea what can cause something like this. |
if it was, it cant be a 3400
shorted cluster? try a new one |

ill make sure of that. |
your cluster must have went bad
gotta be an internal short but recheck everysingle fuse, i got two clusters for sale, you'd have to pay a dealer to check cars computer and make them read the right miles
BCM gone bad maybe? i know mileage is stored in the cluster as well as the BCM
What did the factory service manual say when you checked it?
I tried to do a little research on it, but couldn't come up with anything..... Very interesting issue you have there... Does everything else work properly?
Everything else works fine including all the lights for the cluster and gauges. Its mind bottling.
*boggling.
i'd say a short in the bcm. pop that out (its against the firewall, under the glove box) and see if its wet. |

oh noes if it is, windshield leak! i forget the PN, but there is a fix |
No it is bottling, like when your mind is in a bottle, ya know?
Anyways, I will check the bcm. |
your mind is put in a bottle because of this?? weird
The trip meter still works?
