What's wrong with a log manifold that you can get anywhere? Why use a custom one for this little guy?

It looks like a Garrett TB03, same one I had, which was a .42 A/R compressor and .48 A/R turbine, but more factory oriented (bolt on intake, cast in internal wastegate).

I assume you've never seen the large writeup I did on obtaining turbocharger parts and installing them on an LD9.

apparently not. im reading it now tho

alero_bmxer 05-16-2010 11:33 PM

alright so the manifold from eaby has a flange for an external wastegate, now since i have the internal is there a block off plate i can buy or do i have to make one?

[ion] C2 05-17-2010 12:40 AM

The internal won't fit in the engine bay, but there are block off plates.

alero_bmxer 05-17-2010 12:44 AM

So can i convert to external? sorry just trying to gather info

[ion] C2 05-17-2010 12:48 AM

Should be able to. Can't tell from the picture, what's the exhaust side look like?
