The letter A
So ive noticed on my engine block, i have the letter A on it... Some other 3400's do not... What does the A mean?
Saw that post on FB, now I have to look for the A in Redog
Lol so did i, i just never knew others didnt have it. I cant find any information online.
Where is this A on the block you speak of? I'm going to have to check mine out now too! :)
Its on the back left side of it
The letter a means 3400, b means 3100 and c means 3500 from what someone told me...

They probably know what they are talking about. |
Well do you have any input?
A = 3400 B = 3100 C = 3500. I told you that on facebook and you reposted it on here. What more would you like it to mean? Do you have proof there are 3400s without a stamp?
Yeah, a guy has 2 grand ams, both 3400's. And one has a stamp. One doesnt. Thats why it got me to questioning about this, cause i didnt know if the A meant there was something "special" compared to ones without.
Also, i didnt realize that was you. My bad. Lol |
He didn't buy that car in 2001 to verify it is original, so I can't consider that proof.
I suppose. But i dont see why it wouldnt have a stamp.
What are you looking for? I am at a loss for what the big deal is. It's a stamped letter, on a 60degree V6 engine. Were you thinking you had a rare engine?
No i just didn't know if there was some kind of difference between ones with the A and one without.
There is a huge difference actually.. some have an A on them
