OSV and custom Badging
Hey guys, I'm gauging interest for the moment but i am probably going to go into a rather small scale production of OSV alero badges hoping some of you that have participated in the OSV kit group buy may be interested... As for the rest of you... i am more than willing to work with you for any other ideas on customized badging... The badges i will be making (as far as my plan goes for now) will look like the design seen below... i will post a picture of the actual product hopefully by the end of the week... the design will be printed on metalized polyester so the background will be chrome.... i will then be covering (doming) them with a high strength flexible epoxy. gives them a 3 dimensional (about 1/8th inch deep) highly durable finish. like i said... i will post a final product picture and i still have to work out pricing... these can be customized relatively easy... from (close to) car color matching to completely different layouts... Feedback is welcome.

maybe the real osv emblem for those into osv i could think of some things to do
Thankx... I'll try that shell... not a fan of the color scheme/setup...

I like the idea, nate. Looking forward to see what you actually end up producing. *** |
try it with the olds symbol as the "O" in osv might look better. kinda like the orignal with a twist just my 2 cents
Great job. Keep us informed.
I like it better than the original OSV one....

Took the words out of my mouth. |
yeah i think i'm gonna stick close to my original for the time being... if anyone has any other ideas lemme know...
im in for 3,,,,,,,so make emmmmm...lol
well here's round one... the largest one (asv alero) depicted is approx. 4.25 inches long... the smaller ones are about 2.75 inches long... i also have a few that are just OSV... without the alero part below it... I will try to put together a nicer photo presentation when they are cured... about the olds symbols... the larger one is 3.25"... smaller being 2.25"... These are kinda sweet becasue during the day they look normal but (as the flash on my camera illustrates) the black is also reflective...
lemme know what you think... Edit... heres the OSV stickers by them selves.... the black looking part is CHrome... doesn't come across very well in pictures... especially at night... |
Wow those look pretty cool. How much work is it for you to make these. Im just wondering because it would be cool if you could make a black pontiac arrowhead (sorry I know this is an Olds site) with the doming on it.
I'd be more than happy to... it would have to wait untill I dome another set of something as the doming material isn't cheap and you have to use it all once you open it... gimme specs on how big, anything special about it... and i'll tell you what it'll cost ya.
Ok, I will find out what exactly Id be looking for and pm me you, thank you.
Oh... I'll also mention that I also do 23K gold leaf graphics... they are however... expensive... but that would be a sweet touch on a clean kitted car...
i like'em, very nice... i want a set...
Those are super nice. I will buy a set of red OSV letters and a set of the black oldsmobile symbols if available....nice job:)
Looks good but if the OSV was in diff. font. If I sticked that on my car it would be to obivious that Im trying to make my car something its not. Try to make it look like it would come out the factory and it would go with the car.
I'll make some on the next run that are closer to "stock" for the rest that want an updated style... that's cool too.
Wow very nice...
This will be in the next batch if there's any interest...
what is the badge made of? side profile pic ? kinda looks like a puffy sticker.
I might have a few ideas to get made |
Technically it is a puffy sticker... but not one of those crappy foam filled things that little kids stick on everything... it's a printed decal with an epoxy resin covering it. it's flexible and optically clear. here's a side shot...
new batch will buy red osv badge let me know where to go to pay
eh.. id pay for the last one i made |
also. just thought id say that this is the same material that dash kits are made of...
I'll see what i can come up with...
Great work on the badges, very proffesional looking. I like the red/silver OSV and the red/Carbon Fiber.

I love those carbon fiber ones!!! Now I'll buy that. Good effn job
ok... this week i will be working on getting a run of the red/silver OSV, and the Red/carbon fiber OSV badges, along with a couple custom ones people asked about... if you have anything in mind let me know asap so i can get them into this batch... I started another thread which i will designate to ordering info and pricing and keep it updated with final product pics... PM me with final orders, payment info, and any other questions...
^I still have the psd for the carbon fiber one.. so if youd like it to make diff colors just ask. ill send it via msn or you could just request other colors and i could post them for you. anything i can do to help :]
Good Job guys! I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Now if only the actual emblems would change colour like that, then I'd definetly get some!! |
have cherry wire up some leds in that bitch!
lol... nice. love the pimptress edition... thanks for the offer on the PSD's... actually though the actual priniting software is omega composer, vector based. so if you didn have a custom design, an illustrator document would be more help. these are simple enough though.
hah, it'd take me like two minutes to make that in Illustrator once I got the carbon pattern laid out.
I would buy some of them in a heart beat.
