Review for 2.4 GM supercharger kit
..

got a 1/4 mile timeslip yet?
|
No not yet. I'll need to get better tires and some time to get to the track.

You got a lot to learn about the 2.4L Twin Cam engine. The GM supercharger is not the only method of increasing its potential. Its power is limited @ stock version but the Twin Cam can be a beast if you do your research and learn about the QUAD 4

not sure where you at in NC but i know there is a track in fayetteville. i spent 3yrs at fort bragg and went to the motorports park often but never raced my ho there since it was mostly stock. |

To respond to your comment I know there is a alot of other stuff you can do to the 2.4 or quad 4 other than the supercharger. I'm not trying to be smart I'm just speaking my mind. This thread wasn't intended to be I know everything about the 2.4 thread. I may seem like a newb but Ive been using this site like everyone for many years. I just never said anything on the boards. Yeah I know about the secret cam swap and all that other crap. I have a lot of love and respect for you guys just don't think I'm clueless and dumb. |

i sure was. now im up in virginia, a stones throw south of DC. i used to take all american freeway (turns into owen dr), turn right onto 301 and then you'll see signs. |

cool yeah im not trying to be smart with you either. Im currently rebuilding my HO and tonight I will begin tearing the motor apart to the bare block as soon as i get the dam engine hoist back. At my work there are nothing but HONDA freakz and they dont know jack about a Quad so im going to teach them a little lesson about our 2.4L motors. But anywayz what do you plan to do on the exterior(body) of the HO. You should probably go OSV since you already got the GM supercharger. But i have to say again your HO is deff. a sleeper;) |

I can't wait to see some track slips. Congrats on the SC Alero.

Ive burned a few civics, 2 delsos, and 2 bubble eye intergras just with a intake and no cat. So when im done i hope to burn my friends stang. Im looking for bigger fish to fry. Hondas are to easy;) But you should plan to invest in some good performance tires for better traction. I also plan to put my car on a diet: no back seat, no carpet, carbon fiber seats, no spare tire, maybe even some custom fiberglass doors and fendors. But first get the engine rebuilt |

I think that's only 1/8 mile though. There's a 1/4 track in Rockingham. |

I'm pretty sure my car would do well in the 1/4. I would say the late 14 second range at the least. This car pulls so hard when I really get on the throttle. I can't wait to get some actual time numbers.
|
you should definately get some exhaust mods done. With boost runnin through that motor it will really respond to a header and exhaust system. Good review, cant wait to see some slips.

Hey man to make your Alero a stang slayer would be awesome. You know its so funny how many people went and hopped on the import band wagon after "The fast and the furious" movie came out. It's like if you drive a Civic your car can automatically break sound barriers. I never seen so many ricers with fart can exhausts and crazy spoiler wings until after that furious movie came out. It is nice to hear that ricers have felt the wrath of the LD9:yahoo: I was thinking about getting those goodyear eagle f1 tires. I heard those tires are the closest thing you can get to racing grade tires. I really need some better tires because this supercharger is just spinning my current tires like crazy unless I launch carefully. Anyway I really like your weight reduction ideas for your car. Weight reductions are a great way to increase the acceleration of a car. Keep up the great work on your ride and good luck with that engine rebuild:coolio: |
