Pics Of Head Units

any1 have pictures of their stereos i want to see what i like better a regular radio or a double din please post pics if you have some!!! doesnt matter what radio.

negolien 05-17-2008 12:39 PM

I have seen a few aftermarket DD's and personally I think they're kinda ugly. I been looking at stereo stuff last week cause of my rear 6x9s. Then again it's all about personal taste. I like the stock look myself but many people prefer aftermarket.

This is my Clarion DXZ735MP

My partners Kenwood KDC-MP338

negolien 05-17-2008 01:11 PM

Both of those installs look like shit no offense but... if that's what after market installs look like I'll keep my stock head unit thank you LOL.

BJT'sAlero3.4 05-17-2008 01:28 PM

wow, how old r u?! this isn't even your original post negolien. Thx for startin another negative post, this was for irondiezl3. I believe there is a children's forum you can go to if ur gonna act like one, negolien. SO irondiezl3, those pics r for YOUR post question.

alerojack 05-17-2008 01:34 PM

the only one that looks like crap is the missing trim peice on the clarion. other than that they look like installed aftermarket radios to me. cant really help what the fitment kits look like.

irondiezl3 05-17-2008 01:37 PM

thanks for the pics i like the idea of having the extra compartment but idk what my deal is i still think i want a double din i deffinantly think double dins r uglier but i dont like the dash kits for aleros for regular cd players well anyone have pics post em up. i like the kenwood pic by the way!! hmm anyone have a double din pic?

2fast2furious01 05-17-2008 01:37 PM

Hey BJT, where can you get that bin in the bottom of your partners radio? Does that come with the install kit ? I like it.

BJT'sAlero3.4 05-17-2008 01:44 PM

Hey 2f2f01, we got it from Bestbuy.

BJT'sAlero3.4 05-17-2008 01:45 PM

alerojack, ur right it does look like crap on the Clarion, I need to put the trim piece on, just couldn't find it when I installed it, but I got it now. Just to lazy now!:p

2fast2furious01 05-17-2008 01:50 PM

BJT thanks. I'm thinking of getting one pretty soon and the will looks nice. Thanks again.

negolien 05-17-2008 05:35 PM

Hey,

LOL whatever it's called freedom of speech as far as I know we still live in a democratic society. The first one sticks out like half an inch and the second one just looks wierd because it's not flush. I said no offense and gave my personal opinion on the install......no need for personal attacks there hun.

TheAftermath 05-17-2008 06:06 PM

Even with it missing a trim piece or sticking out a little, still beats the hell out of the ugly stock radio.

Ryan from Ohio 05-17-2008 06:41 PM

Does that look like shit too? Cause that big hunk of shits probably worth more than your car...

:p

lonnie 05-17-2008 07:09 PM

tonkpils 05-17-2008 07:15 PM

YALEROYNOT 05-17-2008 08:06 PM

ryan i love that HU !!!

if only I could get one !! its only $800 +

cherrington17 05-17-2008 09:32 PM

ryan, it does look like shit. its sticking out like 3/16ths of an inch :rolleyes2:

i'll update this one in a bit with a pic of mine.... (single din)

Update:

also, ryan, whats soo good about those? for that kinda price, it better cook me meals and keep the whole interior spotless. (doesn't look like it has lcd/navigation/etc fancy features of other high price point headunits) besides looking old fashioned, which i don't care for at all.

Ryan from Ohio 05-17-2008 09:38 PM

Thats the 406... Thats not 1/4 the head unit the 4000 is...

The 4000 strangely enough run about $3200-$4K+ depending on the shop and if they wanted to deal. Oh ya, and that price was in 1996. Adjust for inflation... Were talking about a $6K+ CD deck.

And my friends... If you ever have a chance at a 4000 combo and you have some interest, do NOT hesitate.
