Jones Max Flow Mufflers
 

I found these mufflers on summitracing, but they were out of stock, so I got them on amazon. At about $40 shipped per muffler, I am very pleased.
These mufflers are made of stainless steel, and have a straight through design. They have a low rumble during idle, are loud during acceleration, and are very quiet in cruising rpms.
To be honest, I don't know what they sound like on an alero because I installed them on a v8 car. They do, however, seem to have the same internal design as the dynomax ultra flow muffler, so I am guessing they should sound similar.

I've used a DI/DO 3" Max Flow on my 2500HD (6.0L gas) and a 2.0" SI/SO on my old 2.2L Corsica (along with one of their glasspack resonators).

They sound better to me than Magnaflows and I was a huge supporter of theirs for years. They are super cheap, made of decently thick raw stainless (if you want polished, grab some gritty stuff and some polish and a few hours of work).

I recommend these mufflers to everyone, but most people want a brand name because spending more money gives them piece of mind :rolleyes:
