2 Boosted Aleros at the track

This was way early this season with stock tires. I have the silver alero (obviously) Greg (local guy who is very quiet on the boards) has the white alero. We both didn't do very well but oh well, i figured some of you might be interested..........

Video came out good. I would like to get to the 1/4 mile track sometime before it snows.

BlackJack 09-20-2006 11:05 PM

if you dont mind me asking, how much boost were you running and what is your tune looking like? I just wanna know what kinda fight the altitude here is gonna give me under boost.

jturkey69 09-21-2006 12:41 AM

they had no tune back then that i know of(meaning dhp or hp tuner), im assuming 10psi??maybe a lil more

BlackJack 09-21-2006 01:35 AM

damn, that's risky running 10psi with no tune....most I would run is 6psi without tweaking the fuel/timing

AlbinoMonkeyRat 09-21-2006 08:49 AM

wow you guys need to learn how to dial in. lol

good video, minus the guy not being able to pronounce Joe's last name. haha

wow, im such a effin noob.... sorry, i totally missed that lol

battistoni21 09-21-2006 10:14 AM

sorry to see your times...., i thought youd at least be in the 13's.... or low 14's

jturkey69 09-21-2006 10:42 AM

i could be way off, but i assume they had bigger injectors, and adj fpr, and they are also 4000+ ft elevation...i think with with altitude correction, its like low 13's
but i could be way off, its been awhile since reading about the Colorado boys

BlackJack 09-21-2006 01:05 PM

4,000+ would be a mild understatement. Not sure which track they're hitting, but IIRC one of the tracks in the Colorado area is known as "Mile High Raceway".

kwhauck 09-21-2006 06:46 PM

Bandimere where we race is listed on the NHRA website as 5800 feet....so yeah altitude is definately a problem. We were both running a 2.2 pulley which gives about 8lbs pounds max boost......we were also both running hp tuners, bigger injectors, and adj fpr. Greg has some other stuff but I am not sure he changes shit so much now. He actually just completed with my old Water-2-Air Intercooler setup I sold him and is visiting his mother at lower elevation so he should have some better times....and as far as dialing in, that was actually my first time at the track with the supercharged alero so i'm not used to the car yet.....

burg03 09-21-2006 07:11 PM

Well at least you get o here your S/C spool up

kwhauck 09-21-2006 07:19 PM

sounds better with the 1.7 pulley at like 13-15lbs of boost......:scpimp:
