hey i have the 3400 and i was wondering about getting a remote starting system. what brand do you guys think i should get? also i was looking at flamethrower kits. and i was wondering if anybody had any information about universal kits. and i only intend to use the flames for show use only. (im not gonna go driving around shooting peoples front bumpers with fire, for those of you who think i will :P )

I would totally flame the ahoes that tailgate me all the way to work. "I don't know officer, must have backfired. He must have been really close to get hit by that tiny flame."

I have a CodeAlarm (Audiovox) Alarm system. Got it from Circuit City, I love it.

$400 for remote start, alarm, 2 way pager, all that jazz.

$400 PROFESSIONALLY installed.

Don't buy an alarm off ebay...mobs did that and wasted money.

mobs241 11-09-2004 02:40 PM

if you dont know what your doing with an alarm dont mess with it. get it profesionally installed.. i have installed an alarm in my hoe with keyless entry andd remote start,, and im still trying to figure out why it wont turn on the fuel pump....and there is easily 100 wires you have to wire in...not including finding the wire to tie the alarm wire into is a pita.

AGT 11-09-2004 03:12 PM

dont worry about the flame kit....its easy to make...it just runs off of exhaust fumes and a spark plug with a power line running to a switch. its not the best idea tho...especially at dark. Even if someone does tailgate you and you get a little mad and decide to flame em...the cop could tell right away if you have the kit on or a homemade version either way.

I also have the 2-way from DEI and I enjoy it every winter and when people get by my car haha :)

it too was looking for a good alarm/remote starter but don't have the cash to drop into installation... which is the only thing stopping me from getting one

wy3134 11-09-2004 09:05 PM

ive always wanted a flame thrower kit but I know id be spending more time in jail than outta jail for toasting cars that pissed me off from tailgating....plus theres always possibility, especially on 4 bangers, of backfire & blowing the car up

-Alero- 11-09-2004 09:28 PM

well do you guys think i should buy one of those flame kits i posted the link about earlier?

-Alero- 11-09-2004 09:58 PM

im liking the digital bling one, but 40.00$ seems to low, there must be a catch or something. not sure. anyone get any good reviews from any?

FormulaNERD 11-09-2004 10:00 PM

dude, it's just a switch, a spark plug, and some wires... why does 40 bucks seem too cheap?

-Alero- 11-09-2004 10:30 PM

dunno i always saw them go for 100+ $$$ but thats just what ive seen. o well

FormulaNERD 11-09-2004 10:42 PM

well why not order from some of the places you've seen them selling for 100+?

-Alero- 11-09-2004 10:47 PM

 someones in a bad mood
