ouch your gonna have a big gap btw the bumper the bottom end of the filler plate. Application could be better too. The cleaner the application of bondo/glaze putty, the quicker and easier it is to sand. I hope its a filler plate under there and its welded good.

SweetNLow 02-01-2007 05:53 PM

haha oh geez

pawzbear 02-01-2007 06:09 PM

lol, i was wondering that too, i mean i dont know shit about that stuff, but it looks like its the taillight:lol:

i sure hope you have experience in metal fab work and know to apply a weld through primer on the metal before you weld, and like he said the metal work can be better thats why ya make templates before you cut and shape metal
on the back side apply a etch primer so it does not rust
i hope your going to finish it up and reinforce the rest of the metal

pimpalero2003 02-01-2007 07:38 PM

i know i know i suck ass with filler but heres the after pics and 2 hrs of sanding i still have a couple holes to fill so dont give me crap i know!!!

pimpalero2003 02-01-2007 07:41 PM

sry wrong one

AftermathAlero 02-01-2007 07:47 PM

well ya still have a BIG gap btw the bumper and filler plate and ya should of taped off the bumper or remove it when sanding or apply filler so you don't get any on it. Still got HOURS (like 10 hr + ) of sanding to do. Can't rush perfection. It will show in the paint if its not perfect. primer usually doesn't show too much flaws and i hope that the primer isn't rattle can either. Or you'll have to redo all the work after when the car is painted a few months down the road.

mrmike 02-01-2007 07:50 PM

eh looks like you should do some more more work to it. Lol why didn't you at least take the rear fascia off when you did it? Keep at it, you're past the point of no return anyways.

pimpalero2003 02-01-2007 08:04 PM

cuz it was cold and im lazy when it warms up im going to fix the rear bumper and then finish it

SweetNLow 02-01-2007 08:10 PM

usually im all for people doing there own work......... but in this case it looks like you shouldve let someone do it who actually had a clue as to what to do

pimpalero2003 02-01-2007 08:17 PM

whats wrong other then the bottom

cavaliers60 02-01-2007 08:42 PM

so you are not having any tail lights??? cause I see the other ones are covered up too.... I would have just covered up the inside tails...

DaRockwilder 02-01-2007 09:39 PM

They look very nice! Keep up the good work! You should do that for a living!

alerocar01 02-01-2007 09:51 PM

I'm with everyone on this one. the bottom gaps should be closed more but other wise not to bad.

pimpalero2003 02-01-2007 10:05 PM

the bottom will be closed im just going to redo my lights before i mold the rest i have tail lights in my bumper

clutch1 02-01-2007 10:34 PM

Looks like it'll turn out good once you get it all finished!

cavaliers60 02-01-2007 10:52 PM

I am VERY VERY iffy on this one.... I'll wait till you get it done before I make any comments.

billytheman1188 02-01-2007 10:54 PM

yea im iffy too, im trying to picture what it will look like with only the inner tails. but big props to you man for doing this, good luck, it looks good, just fill in the bottom like everyone else said, and take your time, make sure everything is perfect.
