like if 20s are gona be too much of a hassel ill go with 18s

I just went through this looking for some 18's I actuallg liked on my ride. Your width is ok but 20's would make your side walls so small to fit that almost any bump could destroy your wheel. In addition, the hub bore on any 20 will be larger than the 70.3 on our cars so hub centric rings would be necessary. 18's look good on the body but dwarf the brakes. 17's are a good compromise anf theh give you the clearance for brake upgrades if you so choose.

Just my 2 cents

so whats your saying is with 20s ill have next to no tires to take the bumps so it wont be as smooth as a ride and I could damage the rims fast, so 18s would be a safe bet! what size rims can I get? and what size tires?

Dude once again use the search... i had 20's on mine with 245/40/20 tires and they rubbed and were a harsh ride ... to eliminate the rubbing you'd better off go with a 7.5" rim and 225/30/20 tire... again not much rubber to absorb the bumps... all of my rims were warped from bumps... i have a set of 18's now and they suit it awesome!! I personally think 17's still look small and stock, but they are the best compromise for style and ride.comfort... search through your hood thread and both mine and the silver car i posted are ridding on 20's... mine are 8.5 his are 8" wide...

There was a guy who had 20's on his Alero, then he rode to ASS from Texas, and when he got home he needed back surgery.

He already had back problems though.

It is a rough ride. The smaller the sidewall, the harsher the ride. It's just basic science. This guy had the rear tubbed out too to make them fit.

Making the brakes look small is the least of your worries. 20's are usually heavy. The 20's I want on my Delta will be 58 lbs a wheel. Stock wheel tire combo on that car is about 50. That's not that big of a deal

The stock Alero 16's wheel tire combo is about 51 lbs. If you're going with a ghetto fab wheel for the bling effect, you are more than likely going to be at least 75 lbs a wheel. YOU WILL NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR BRAKES FIRST!!!

More rotating mass, more force needed to stop the rotating mass.

If you have 16's, do the camrao/Impala brake upgrade first, then lets talk

ok soo iv decided to go with the 18 inch rims yeah 20s sound like a dumb idea now what kinda offset do I get with the rims though?

SEARCH BUTTON!!!

i realky don't want to sound like an a-hole but this has been discussed many many many times in multiple threads over the years... that's what the search button is for...

But to answer your question +35-+42 will work if i remember right eor you can get a wheel space to flush the wheels with the fender

03glgold 11-07-2013 08:18 PM

you are far from being an ahole when he has been told to use the search button by many people many times and the next new thread he starts with something that has at least been 90% answered the big letters are coming out to tell them cause he must not be seeing it

sleepyalero 11-07-2013 08:28 PM

ive learned to not answer his questions until he starts searching. ;)

tw0123 11-07-2013 08:38 PM

Ya... I'm at that point now... I'd rather bump a 3 yr old thread if the question i ask is somewhat answered in an old thread... I'll risk being called a thread Jesus to have my question answered :)

@mgaw23 11-07-2013 08:41 PM

Ok ok OK!!! I'm sorry I promise to use the search button from now on no need to get all worked up sorry for waisting your time

jeffrey1990 11-08-2013 12:22 AM
