Alright, I finally got the wai today that I ordered like.. 10 days ago. It's for a 2.4 Cavy but as people have said before, it will fit. Anyway, I'm having trouble with the battery. Has anyone had to relocate their battery in order to get a wai to fit? I'm prolly gonna get laughed at for putting it like this, but at this point, I really don't care...I've been up since 7 last night and need to get this done soon so I can go to bed. I don't know what it's called but imagine you're putting jumper cables on the battery.. the thing you hook the cables to, it is sticking out too far. Could I get a smaller one or what? Any help will be sooo greatly appreciated... Thanks.

Here's the pic.. I took the thing I'm talking about off but you get the idea.

And Brad, I didn't want a cai because of all the rain we get around here. Already had about 10 inches in the past 3 days.. sorry!!

It shoudl look like this when is all done.
It should just hook to your TB with the 90 degree and then have a nut to hold it up on the Power steering resevior.

MINE WAS A TIGHT SQUEESE...BUT IT SHOULD FIT...

ptrudel 12-07-2004 06:53 PM

it should fit in there no prob marie...mine was tighter then hell, but it fit just fine

Youngblood77 12-07-2004 06:54 PM

Marie, if the other guys say it'll fit, i gotta assume they're right. WORSE-case scenario, you might try buying another battery. They make replacements that have the terminal posts on top, instead of the sides. Just make sure the cables going to the battery would be long enough, should you choose to purchase another battery.

Good Luck dear. :)

bad pic, but heres how mine fit...hope it helps you out any

Thats exactly how mine hooked up and also you may have to kinda tug the wires for the sensor to go into the spot.

instead of tugging on the wires, cut the loom/tape a lil for more slack...theres way less chance of pullin somethin you don't want to ;)

smlzalero 12-07-2004 07:51 PM

I didn't know you could take the posts off...isn't that a bad idea? I thought for sure it would leak.

They splice out of the main wiring harness I wouldnt cut the loom unless you are really handy with a knife. THe wires do reach but not good or you can get the Extension from PFYC.
