Timing Chain

Hello all. Finally getting round to fitting new timing chain on my 2.4 ld9
Couple of questions,
I got new cam and crankshaft sprockets in the kit, should I fit these also?
If so I cant find the torque settings for the crank pulley or the cam sprocket bolts.
Any ideas folks?
Thanks.
P.S
I notice I need a tool to hold the cam sprockets and crankshaft pulley when tightening.
Is there a way round this? Dont want to buy the tools to do 1 job!!

I bookmarked this webpage years ago - very helpful info about the 2.4 LD9 engine: http://quad4forums.com/forums/techdata.php
There is a Fastener Tightening Specifications section that is pretty extensive - hopefully what you need is there...if not, someone else on this forum might know and answer.

I would do gears you that far into it. The gears done wore to the chain. My water pump is leaking, and I will have the shop replace everything.

Did mine around the beginning of the year. Yes, put the gears and chain in as a set. There should be a piece of paper with a warning on it with the tensioner.. don't loose it. The tensioner comes with the plunger compressed, after the chain chain is installed and timed, you need to release the plunger on the tensioner.

Yep I think I will change everything.
seems silly not to.
My only question is do I need the special tools to hold the cam sprockets and crank pulley when tightening?
The cam sprockets I can probably do with the dowels in place but the crank is quite a lot of torque then another 90 degrees.
Has anyone done this without special tools?
Thanks.
