Aleromod.com Upgrades
Aleromod.com Upgrades
The massive compilation of modifications for the Alero. This is a wiki-based site, so if you register with Google and I approve you, you can edit and add things as well. Formatting must remain identical to other pages with similar content. If you screw things up, I will edit it. If you think you broke things, let me know, I'll fix it. Or you can easily revert it to a previous edit. A how-to create pages link is on the main page. For now, if you have some information/images you think would be useful to have in this ultimate resource (of aftermarket upgrade modifications, not repair information or other general information, as that is what this forum is for), shoot me a PM or post in this thread. |
nice ion! just looked at it and it seems nice APPROVE ME!! Lol jk u dont have to but i already have a google so.. anyway nice!
looks great so far. will definatly be a great resource to have. keep it up.
Nice simple and user friendly look! Good Job
Great job Ion. Very, very informative. It will be a valuable asset for many of the guys. Awesome.
The performance section will have many diagrams and detailed information relating to engine components, forced induction, and such. Wiring up gauges, etc. Can't wait to get crackin on that.
Not sure if you have them already, but somewhere on site, i have a link to my photobucket account, where i have the wiring diagrams scanned and uploaded...
VHT Nightshades = spray tint that we use for taillights. ;)
good job so far! |

Very nice idea, Ion ... and the site is well designed. :) *** |
I may not agree with everything you say but it is looking good.

dont forget to put the turbonator, electric 1 psi supercharger, and ebay fuel saver chips in the performance section.
all bullshit aside, it looks good, and should prove to be an incredibly valuable resource |
actually i intend to put on flawed parts to avoid, heh heh.
also anyone who wishes to have a "how-to" put up that would be great, whether it be fiberglassing the console, replacing common parts like the wheel hubs or window regulators, that would be awesome. i'll do the best i can with what's currently available in the how-to section and my own personal experience. |
there is a lot of that how-to guides on 60degreev6 wikipedia site
i can get you how to's on modifing a Twin Cam to Quad 4 specs
Nice!!...:thumb: ...cant wait for the finish product
Ion You Are A Ba.
You deffinetly have to add a How To on lowering springs, I absolutly refuse to let the mechanic do it for $500
haha $500.. belle tire will do it
approve me buddy.
MSN'd, could use some help.
Added information on main cluster gauge modifications, including Cherry's LED backlit How-To. Also added information on all different sorts of gauge pods. Also a lot of information and How-To's on the Transmission apge.
REQUEST: It'd be nice if YALEROYNOT or someone else compiled his information and pictures on LED needles into a How-To so I can add that to the Glow Needles area of the Gauge Cluster page. |
well I pm'd you on offering to help with how to's on Quad mods and even posted here and still no response...so much for my help and dont even bother to ask now
I got your PM and reply here, if you don't want to help out the community anymore simply due to my nonresponsiveness, fine. I said I'll invite people as the overall layout is set. There is no real area set up for the 2.4L -> Quad 4 conversion yet. I'm working on it. But since you don't give a shit anymore, I'll take care of it.
Been busy, if you can't tell. |
sweet picture of my car on there
make a how to on adding and installing an Eaton M45 Supercharger!!
Plase Im Gonna Need It!! |
it comes with a detailed instruction manual.. lol all those who installed it didn't just wing it
pm sent
Looks great. Good work!
it would be rediculously hard to do, but it would be really sweet to have an interactive 3d rendering of each engine on their main page. something you could rotate/pivot/dismantle.....
that'd sure make repair jobs easier.... |
the page looks excellent so far...are you taking any info from the old "upgrades" page? it had alot of infor about parts on it and i'm sure that it would save you some work.
downside to that, is alot of those parts(or companies) are no longer around....

kinda. they already have an animation type thing, like that in nascar garages... i'm sure other places have them to, for high end engines. it'd just take a good mech w/ FLASH skills to produce. like the middle of the page... http://www.virtualengine2000.com/ it'd just take alot of time/resource to do, and i don't know if anyone would want to donate something like that. |
that would be unbelievable
the aleromod wiki would have to have a VIP section... just for all the hits it would get.
also, ion, are you just moving the image links, or are you copying the whole image to a database on google?
since i'll have a hefty section of my own in the lighting area, all my pics are on my photobucket account. I wouldn't want that database to lose all those if my account lapsed for some reason... |
