man i wish i could steal your hood, and pair it with a razzi spoiler

car looks good though. what size are the rims?

Vic28 08-09-2011 06:25 AM

Love the color... hate the rust in our cars. I think it just need some newer headlights. Looks good tho.

lonnie 08-09-2011 08:13 AM

Car looks sweet...and I love that color!

tw0123 09-16-2011 01:31 AM

Thanks for the comments... I agree the rust sucks but until I can afford to get it all fixed, I have to deal with it...
Colonel, what you wish you could steal my $200 hood? but why??? lol... the rims are 20's... couldn't pass up the deal, I know they are huge but the price was right!!!
Vic, I am taking your advice on the headlights...

and also did the tails...

While I was installing these, I also wired up the trunk tails to light up with the brakes...

xbxradxsx 09-16-2011 10:12 AM

pics of tails installed soon please

tw0123 09-16-2011 11:26 PM

cell phone picture... not the greatest but it's a daytime shot of them installed... hopefully I can get a bit of time to finish the head lights and get a good photo collection before winter hits...

billytheman1188 09-17-2011 01:41 AM

Nice car man...now get some bigger brakes in the front for better stopping power since you have those rims on there ;)

That is the next step... I am currently evaluating which option to go with, the GXP swap all around, or the F-body swap... since I have the large wheels, I know the GXP's will fit... just have to find them at a reasonable price...
After that is done, it is in dire need of paint and rust repair  Hopefully in the next 2 years... lol... It sucks not having unlimited funds for toys with a family at home...

tw0123 09-21-2011 12:17 AM

Finally got the gauge pod and gauges installed...
Interceptor Scan Gauge (top)
Volt Meter (middle)
Oil Pressure (bottom) and yes it's mechanical :)

Now I just have to figure out the scan gauge (got it from Spyhunter-3months later...)

Thewolf 09-21-2011 05:55 PM

Looks like someone gotta do their wheel bearings again :rolleyes2: :p

Btw, what does that interceptor scan gauge do? Does it scan for cops around the area?

tw0123 09-21-2011 10:10 PM

yupp, one trip to Quebec and sitting for 2 years will toast the bearings...
as for the scan gauge, check this site out

Awesome man..
I wonder if that gauge pod will go into a Malibu with those giant boob air vents where they are?

tw0123 09-29-2011 09:38 PM

finally got the headlights done... lenses were all yellow so I bought the 3m headlight restoration kit... tried using a drill like it says and apparently if you use just a bit too much force it will burn the lens... so out came the manual sanding with more coarse grit paper until it was clear again... didn't cross my mind to take before and after pictures until I was done of course!!

tw0123 09-29-2011 09:38 PM

also managed to get a daytime shot of the tails from the actual camera...

tw0123 09-29-2011 09:39 PM

and my lil model showing off "Daddy Carrrr" lol :)

Vic28 09-29-2011 09:52 PM

Great job, love the tail light actually. Headlight is good attempt, just has the old hazy look, but looks way better. BTW take the "A" away from your license plate and you have a good description LOL

zearchyo 09-29-2011 10:27 PM

nice

I am hoping that is just from the synthetic wax that came with the kit, and it will clear up more as I wash the car... Time will tell... Worst case, I take the clear corner lights and steal the lens from them and glue them on to this set... lol... the other set just has a shit ton of moisture in it giving it the hazy look... I just never had the time to take it apart again to fix it... Got this set real cheap so I played with the coloring and this is the result :)
