Go with a 75mm Sleepy. Ya.. Value doesn't drop because 40 pounds of child steps all over it. She was checking weakness, and confirmed it can handle a lot of stress due to wind resistance.

Do like kwack says and go with the 75mm I want to do a similar build.. well.. pretty much the same thing lol

Quaife makes a LSD for the F40 6-speed.

If you're going to use a 3400 UIM, you want 65 mm for turbo, 68 mm would require transition pieces on both inlet/outlet sides and take up more space and would upset flow IMO. 68 mm for N/A would be ok, while 68 mm or 75 mm is good for supercharging.

I can vouch for TCE workmanship, plug-and-play, smooth, great-looking. Marc (BCC) custom modded one for me at no extra charge.

Needs more boost. Keep updated!

thanks all. i wish i could just build it now, but need money in order to do that. :(

as for the TB. id kinda have to agree with B888. kwuack you are supercharging i believe. which that 75mm would most likely do great. im probably sticking with the 3400 uim, (not a fan of the 3500 uim, but its not 100% decided on that)

i tried the LS maf from my buddies ws6 transam, it bolted right up, but for some reason the car did not take a liking to it.

Well whatever you do is be patient and do your research. I started putting pieces together almost for a year and a half now to be able to get mine completed. Whatever you do too is dont buy cheap or try and cut corners because it is not worth it. GLWTB and remember this will not be a easy road but it will be well worth it once completed.

sleepyalero 04-18-2013 01:11 PM

i dont plan on going cheap at all, i know it will be tough, but im excited to do it, and always have wanted to. :)

sleepyalero 09-08-2013 09:01 PM

Well not much of an update, but just stopped in to say... If this new job i have works out good for me, i will be buying a daily before winter, and hoping to start tear down/build next summer/fall area. Or maybe sooner then that.

In the mean time i will be doing alot of planning on what i want to do exactly, i have a good idea but its 50/50 between 2 builds.

So stay tuned, once things start progressing, there will be many updates showing what im doing. :) im excited and hope everything works out for me.

One thing ill need to do soon is send my drtc to marc, have it looked over to make sure its correct and also have him put oiling slots in it because it came without.

There was an issue with the last batch he made, so i want to make sure mine isnt a faulty one, id hate to throw it in the car after the build then find out a few 1000 miles it jumps timing and blows my motor.

tw0123 09-10-2013 11:26 PM

^^ that makes me nervous about the drtc... I still haven't received mine, nor heard back from mike about it... hope mine is ok, and that I get it soon...

hope the job works out man, really want to see this take off!! :)

sleepyalero 09-11-2013 05:08 AM

Thanks as do i :)

And really? Hope you get it.

tw0123 09-11-2013 08:47 AM

Finally heard back from him... they're making sure it's alright before he ships it along with the custom timing cover... i was more concerned that i hadn't heard from him since i paid... not so much the time it's taking just didn't hear any updates!!

sleepyalero 09-11-2013 02:15 PM

Dang. I need to send mine out or go see mike soon for a retune. Probably do that before winter hits and the car is stored.
