hey i was wondering what you guys think of what LED's in the fog lights would look like? or maybe halo fog lights? seeing as how they are already projector, it would be interesting to see what LED's or halos would look like in them. just wanna get some input on what it would look like, or if Anderbra would ever consider doing something liek that

Eh_nigma 01-03-2005 05:11 AM

I wouldn't think that LED's would be as effective as the original Fog Lamps, but I may be wrong... however, Halo's (tiny ones) for the lamps, just given their location, I would think they'd look great! Good thinking!

lol i didnt mean replace the lamps with just LED's i ment add LED's in the lamp. you know like you could have the LED on a switch and turn it on when ever you want like o say when the fog lamps arent on (for looks)

sounds like an interesting idea. try it out and post some pics.

This is totally offf your topic, i hope you don't mind, but -alero- your head lights are sweet as hell! How do you get the blue in it? or is it photoshoped in? let me know

FormulaNERD 01-03-2005 03:05 PM

looks to me like he used a blue 3157 bulb like i did.... of course mine are turned off in this picture...

turtles_ride 01-03-2005 04:18 PM

i replaced all my bulbs with superwhites that look blue when they're off so pretty much the whole front looks blue if you're looking at the right angle. Just wondering why would you wanna put LEDs in your fogs. Someone on the site put the LEDs and strobes in his headlights and they looked pretty sweet.

those are genuine LED's in the 3157 and 194. heres a nice linky poo on where to get them. they have a wide variety, ranging from 19 LED bulbs to 25 Led bulbs mines 21 in the 3157. http://superbrightleds.com/1157.htm (there is a large selection to choose from)

-Alero- 01-04-2005 01:07 AM

heres some nice pictures up close of what they look like.

Nik1128 01-04-2005 01:15 AM

Thats a kick-ass look! B) *droolz*

-Alero- 01-04-2005 01:18 AM

well thank you!

AleroBloke 01-04-2005 01:20 AM

 wowzers, thats cool, now i have a question, they run at a lower volt or wattage, so do they blink realy fast. or did you have to install something to stop that?

-Alero- 01-04-2005 01:22 AM

oh they blink fast alright i need to pick up a 3 ohm resister thing. let me see if i can find one. hold on

bingo! found it. if you want your blinkers to slow down you gotta pick up 2 of these and splice into your wires from the harness's. http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

Getting back to the LED's in the foglights....i think it would look really nice if you had a true HID conversion or Anderbra's HID projectors and then put white LED's in the foglights. it would be the same color white as the HID headlights. I've seen it done on an Acura TL before...looks awesome. and with HID's you really wouldnt have to worry about the foglights lighting anything up, you have pretty much all the light you could ask for.

r u guys talking about iluminating the assembly...or puting a LED where the bulb goes?

SilverBullet256 01-06-2005 12:07 AM

as he stated in an earlier post, he just wants to illuminate the assembly for looks instead of switching out bulbs all together :smokin:

Sno 01-06-2005 10:02 AM

/me thinks..... hmm, that would be cool  I'm interested if you guys find a way to do it, it can be done, you mean like "underglo" but for your foglight compartment?

AnderbrA 01-06-2005 11:16 AM

would be a piece of cake....just have to mount a LED in each side of the assembly.

that should be enough to illuminate the whole assembly.

Sno 01-06-2005 12:01 PM

^ yeah, that is what i was thinking, just put on on either side
