Well the good news for us ecotec n-body n j-body is that, if you were piecing together the kit from a cobalt we need the adapter for T/B, this has now become available as a simple order. No more gettho fabbing it up, or trying to get a group buy.
Here is a link, btw half the price I paid for in a groupbuy, I couldnt believe this is this easy now. http://store.katechengines.com/throt...pter-p277.aspx |
hey vic can you can you give me a list of all the parts needed?
|
Im glad you posted this. Hopefully this winter I'll be doing the same thing :D
|

X2 thank you, and I dont want to sound like i dont wanna help people here. But ill recommend keeping an eye on a part out of a cobalt, or a complete kit. Pieceing it gonna be lil harder but can be done. When I get time ill find more info or links, im in an iphone at the moment. But to name a few from top of my head. Intake manifold + bolts + gasket. Supercharger Throttle body adapter(if from cobalt or not included) Pulley tensioner + idle pulley. Injectors 36lbs (stock cobalt ss) or stage 2 gm 42lbs... These both work with stock fuel rail no mod required. 2.5 TMAP sensor Radiator hose This is optional but really recommended for longer lasting Cooling mods Heatexchanger(svt cobra used) or zzperformance. Pump ( stock cobalt ss) Reservoir (cobalt ss) Hoses |
Ok found the ultimate link: all part list and stock number, and bunch of installation links from other members with pics.

Obviously ppl lost the interest on this lol... no reply after I took my time to try to head ppl in the same direction.
Heres the other one, read!!! and get your knowledge up. http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.ph...83438&t=183438 |
those are all awesome links vic. im just waiting for you to get rid of your s/c. :p
im not sure if i want to sc or turbo. leaning towards turbo |
um
|
ive been caught up with school and soccer but thanks for the links its verrryyy appreciated
what do you think about the s/c? s/c or turbo? wats the hp with each? |
Quote:
Supercharger: some Turbocharger: a lot more (and easy to increase power) Installation Supercharger: very easy Turbocharger: moderately difficult |
s/c = instant power
turbo= power lag s/c= power from belt turbo= power from exhaust sooo difficult to decide |
I like the sound of a sc better personally. And with my noodishness easier install is always better. What would a price difference be between the two?
And ya, thanks for the links. When I get ready to do mine hopefully this winter I'll be referring back and probably killing your inbox with questions and what not. |
|
hmmm. I just ran across this. http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...s1.php?id=1165 input? what else would be needed if I were to get this? is it even legit?
|

Tack on an extra $500 for HPTuners too!
