Alero with Genuine Wood Dash (WriteOff)

6 Attachment(s)
Well, haven't been on here in a while...but alas as of 3 weeks ago the Alero is no more. She was written off in a rear end collision, although there is no damage to the exterior.

This is what happens when you use your Alero to carry wood and someone rear ends you. I had it flagged as per law, but the individual was a bit "sleepy" and rammed the wood through my dash and front windshield. End result - WRITEOFF...now replaced with...a Minivan.

cherrington17 07-09-2009 02:48 PM

damn. really glad it was next to you, and not behind you. that would have been horrible if there was flesh inbetween...

RisenequinoX 07-09-2009 02:51 PM

glad to see you're ok.

and you werent kiddin about that genuine wood dash...

Yeh, the wood was resting on the center console. I was resting my arm on it when it went through the car...did a number to the passenger seat though. Definately an original way to writeoff a car.

Damn, you're lucky.

doubleN0alero 07-09-2009 03:59 PM

well at least the minivan will haul wood a little better I guess....just happy nobody was hurt.

Nate's Alero 07-09-2009 04:15 PM

holyshit!!!!!

why didint you buy it back and part it out???

Pilate 07-09-2009 04:34 PM

Too much of a pain to bother...no time...although I did consider taking off my painted headlights and selling them. Oh well, if I ever see an Alero driving around with lights that don't match I'll know they came from my Alero;)

Toxin13 07-09-2009 05:14 PM

Hot eff! Where you in it when that happened?

Kazumaki 07-09-2009 06:30 PM

Holy guacamole !
This is kind of a epic fail :(
I first tough it was only a windshield job but... O_o

dragon8807 07-10-2009 02:57 AM

holy shit, that really sucks

lonnie 07-10-2009 07:46 AM

A little goo gone will get rid of that. Wow you are blessed to be alive...I would go and play lotto right now before that blessing wears off. I'm a bit surprised that there wasn't any exterior damage with the amount of damage on the inside. Glad you are alright. Better the car than you!

jackal2000 07-10-2009 09:21 AM

sweet jesus, mary, and joseph. that is insane.

Coldfire 07-10-2009 03:55 PM

I don't know about you guys, but I like it! :thumb:
You should do a step by step write-up so we all can have wood dashes too!
