No, that is IMHO one of the stupidest products I've ever seen, It will do nothing but block incoming air and reduce performance...it will certainly cause some "Real" damage when that turbine comes apart and gets sucked into your intake...I have never and will never bought powertrain parts off ebay for any of my cars, its all cheap and made in china, I advise you buy somewhere else too

cherrington17 10-06-2010 05:30 PM

yes, its called a leaf blower. No, its not used for that application.

Bigshot44 10-06-2010 09:28 PM

okay. anyone know where i can get a supercharger for my eco?

Redog 10-06-2010 10:42 PM

I must admit. that's a pretty good sales pitch, esp the chart claiming 20% HP increases on other cars

Not trying to offend you but if you actually thought for a second that would work, I don't think you are ready to mod your car that much

guiguilandry 10-06-2010 10:51 PM

that looks like its pushing some serious air volume... maybe it could work.... to cool down my computer

[ion] C2 10-06-2010 10:55 PM

These were dynamometer shown to increase HP by 2-3... too bad that small of an amount can be attributed to anything between dyno runs. My car gained a few HP between runs with no changes.

03Sleepr 10-06-2010 11:25 PM

only 2-3?? but...they said it would give me 80 :ninja: ...I guess I better go get a park bench and some stickers seeing as I just ordered two for my twin CAI:jk:

EDIT: and bigshot, is your car is stock, I would start out with some smaller mods and stay N/A for a while, If you do go forced induction on the 2.2 I would personally go turbo, DO NOT BUY A TURBO KIT FROM EBAY...you will kill your car with it..and before you do any major mods ask some of the other members on here who have done said mods..

Cold air intake, a header, 2.25 exhaust setup, 2.4 intake mani swap, lightweight pulley.... we have a whole section just for the L61

03Sleepr 10-06-2010 11:41 PM

Headers(if you can find some quality ones), exhaust, CAI...Just naming basics but I have the 3400 V6, so I'm not sure of whats available for the Eco, maybe someone else can shed some light

i live in Winnipeg where 2/3 of the year is winter. I heard WAI would be better where i live?

03Sleepr 10-06-2010 11:49 PM

I honestly have no idea, everyone uses a CAI down here, but we dont have a cold climate....unless your around my ex..

colonel6632 10-07-2010 12:24 AM

hey bigshot, you should check out the 2.2 l61 section, there are alot of threads in there about our motor.

there is a fair amount of aftermarket parts for the ecotec. the n/a things to do are intake, exhaust, 2.4 intake manifold swap, cams, pulleys, tune. i'm working on doing tranny and motor bushings, and that helps alot with launching. in my opinion the stock mounts are garbage

so check out that section, i just went through the pages and opened up things that looked interesting, and read through them lol,

i run a wai intake here, and im sure my winters are just as bad

Bigshot44 10-07-2010 12:31 AM

First thing i want to get is this.
http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...d=260&pid=1359

only problem is i need the cash... fortunately i get my paycheck in 30 mins.

colonel6632 10-07-2010 12:38 AM

i've got that. it was my first mod i installed on my alero, other than stereo

sfi3400 10-07-2010 12:25 PM

noooo they dont have it to fit the 3.4:cry:

Lucalare 10-07-2010 12:32 PM

Just make your own for the 3.4, all you really need is a 90 degree bend, a 45 degree bend, a couple silicone connectors and clamps, and a filter.
