New from El Dorado, KS

Hi there, just another new guy from Kansas, I recently got a 2003 Alero, Its a VERY nice car, but i'm having some trouble going from a estimated (No dyno time) 450hp chevy truck..to the stock...170hp to the crank 3.4L V6...Been searching around for some forums for modded aleros, And this is the only one I have came across, Hope I can learn something,
Justin

Welcome aboard! Ther's some folks here who have done some serious mod work to their powertrain. Feel free to use the "Search" button to look up answers to any questions you might have with the upgrades.

Welcome to the site man. You should be able to find everything your looking for on this site and if not just ask, cause someone probably will have the answer. Anyway got any pics of the car to show us?

Welcome to the site!

There are a few modded Aleros here. Search for the "Fastest Aleros" thread and take a look at the list. I think you will be pleased

Kansas eh? You got here just in time for me to have a month remaining before deployment. I'm sure I could help you put a little bit of pep under the hood.

Thanks brother. Save up a little and when I get back we can set you up with an Alero that will definitely make a mark in the street scene.

I speak both turbo and nitrous relatively fluently.

And breath fire.

Both look nice and clean man.

thanks that01, and I'm not a big fan of nitrous, seen to many good engines get destroyed, and haven't had alot of turbo experience either I'm afraid, but I did grow up around a number of S/C GM engines in my grandpa's shop and the drag strip, I was looking into a eaton m90 on the 3.4l, But I have no metal fab shops with a CAD machine near me to make a custom intake manifold...Kinda threw that plan out the window.

Hmm there are a few rare supercharger kits for the 3400, I believe there were 17 produced I've seen one pop up for sale on grandamgt.com (btw grand am is same cars as ours if you didn't already know)

03Sleepr 09-13-2010 01:23 AM

yea I was aware the GA is the same aside from astetics, I've researched a little but the only kits I've found were the Eaton M62, as of right now the alero is my daily driver so I may hold off on some big mods for a while until I can afford to pay for the downhill, wind at my back, 7mpg my truck gets...
