I'm not against making parts for the 4 cylinders, as long as there are customers wanting to buy them.

We usually run the holiday sale, and then a Beat The Taxman sale in early spring. I think we've done a christmas in july sale once or twice. But you're right, we should probably run a good sale in the summer.

You can always use more power, just have to learn how to control it. We built a turbo grand prix a while back that lit tires at 50+ mph depending how much boost you fed her. At ~12psi, it was 50. 26psi was a whole lot of fun :coolio: . It's not like it's undriveable at lower speeds, just have to learn to modulate the throttle.

Not to mention that the turbo won't even spool a noticeable amount at normal driving speeds.

can't really say that unless you know the size of the turbo on a particular motor, it is a setup to setup difference...

Very true. He could be running a small 14b DSM turbo making boost at idle for all you know!

MilzyZ34 12-17-2010 01:32 PM

It's a 67mm journal bearing turbo, and it spools quick. The 3800's torque really helps the turbos spool. Now my friend Tim's twin GT35R'd 3800 firebird took longer to spool, but made 870whp, but that grand prix was instant power.

Well the guy called and I guess the car is coming back to get a forged bottom end put in it. It was running a stock L32 bottom end before, so we're installing the forged one with a little more aggressive cam, should be a little faster when it leaves. Anybody who would like to ride-along on a test-drive before it goes home, just let me know. Turbos catch a lot of negative press for "lagging" but if you size the turbo right, it doesn't lag, it just goes.

All my car's that have been boosted I purposely have had bigger turbos due to the fact that I can stay out of boost doing daily driving.. while launches will lack a fast spool once you get to the upper RPM's you hit boost and stay there for the race.

Anyways... any chance you could keep the price on the downpipe till early Jan :coolio:

Also do you have a sound clip or video of your Cat Back exhaust?
