Went to checkers / Advanced today looking for a product to degrease / clean my engine bay - sales rep said try simple green so for $4.95 bottle i did

it comes in a "windex" type spray bottle, and is green with a minty spell - but it's still a cleaner

sprayed it on my car, let it sit for 10 minutes, and simply washed it off with a water hose, loooooks clean!!!!

simply amazing results i'm impressed 5/5

I hope the stuff is good the Air Force uses it to clean aircraft...so i think it will work well on your engine!!

We have 55 gallon drums sitting around here...only this stuff is full strength :P

lol^ i would imagine that would be pretty cool to do.....

i remember when we used to run over pop cans and get them to come up the wheel and end up sticking behind the tire so that they would make a loud noise like a dirtbike lol

Yeah thats all we use to clean andything and everything in the army. Its also pretty good with getting built up gunk out of a howitzer.

Ditto on pics. I swear I'd heard the opposite on this product...that it didn't work for S* but I must've been mistaken it sounds awesome

we use it around the house and i used it on my rims one day when they were way dirty, i just sprayed it on for a few minutes, scrubbed and rinsed and they were nice and shiny. excellent multi-functional product :thumb:

Do you think it would have looked good without scrubbing? My buddy has a car with those spoke hubcaps that are a pain in the ass to clean...If you can just spray it on, let it sit and rinse it off he'd definately be interested

elitecloud 05-16-2006 02:37 AM

i didn't have to scrub persay, i just used the scrub brush that came with my mr. clean kit, and LIGHTLY brushed it around, no elbow grease at all, if you had a strong waterhose and could jet it i'm sure that would work just as well on the rims

firstson 05-16-2006 04:28 PM

I'll go with cloud on that one...as soon as you spray it on you can see the grease run off. a nice light scrub wouldn't hurt though
