With the milage I have on my car I should have anticipated the CD/Casette Unit burning out?....Upon burning a normal audio CD with text I'm not always able to playback the CD in the car. At times the laser will try to find the CDs 1st track, but all I get back is the general E20 code. On any given day I can play all other CD including some burned CDs in my collection that have CD text on them. Should I replace the now old stock unit and with what brand, all recommendation welcome?

Not under warranty, though I may have to check that?

yeah, it would be a lot cheaper to go to best buy and get a new head unit. They usually install em for free, and you can get a bottom-end cd player/mp3 player for like $100 or less.

Good lookin' for the info everyone! I'll mst likely get a new smaller head unit, but I have one other question....Has anyone installed a head unit leaving space between the air vents and the spot where the CD player would normally be? The reason I'm asking is because when you run the A/C in the summer the CDs get condensation on them; vise versa in the fall/winter the CDs may be too cold for the laser to read the CD!?

never had any trouble in the winter or summer cause of that
