Anyway! for all you kiddos. :awesome: the car is fine... kinda.

heres what happened: i was on my lunch break last night it was about 320am and i was messing around in our parking lot in the car. well i stopped, put it in 1st came out from a stop like casual driving (easy) then about 15 mph i punched it.... vrrroooooommmmm tires spinning, slam second, boom tires spinning again. then all of a sudden... POP!

well heres what happened.....







and the old next to the new one i picked up today.




wooooohoooooooooo snapped an axle.

sorry i couldnt do it that long. :lol:


for the 2 thinking i was gonna part out my car, you guys are funny. i would NEVER get rid of my alero, no matter how much damage or the cost was, i love the alero to much. just remember, with me and my ho, what ever happens to her, she will always be rebuilt. always. :D

well. i picked up the wrong axle for the job, so the right one will be in wednesday ready for pick up, then HOPEFULLY i can get her back on the road for thanksgiving cause im gonna need it.

on a unrelated note, i blew my tranny today, so my friend is letting me use his 84 533i i kinda like the whole ability to powerslide lol, might end up holding on to it

Do you have polyurethane trans and engine mounts and poly control arm bushings? Wheel hop is what usually kills axles, as you just found out! Glad it's a quick repair though.
