is it really that Fiing hard?
To find an olds cutlass SC or SCX with the high output quad four?
Or to find a Achieva with the HO quad four? >_< i just searched ebay motors, and craigslist. nothing local. i doubt cars.com would rear any results :( I don't know why i have this sudden fascination with the HO quad four.. could be the 180-190 hp... better then a GSR integra.. shit and a type R o_o |
i had 2 achieva and they were 3100 ,back then all i could find on internet (kijiji.com) were 3100 i looked for about 3 month then abandoned haha , how long have u been looking to get that motor ?

honestly ive sorta wanted one since i sold my cavalier z24. but it wasn't so much that i actually put thought into getting it. now i sorta just want to sell my ecotec and grab a H.O. quad four.. I saw a grand am with one in it but i dont know if it was factory or swapped. and a beretta gtz as well. i think it would be neat to have something like that with the 180-190hp engine from the factory. then just add a few small things to hit 200 and call it a day.

What year cavalier did you have? I love the early 90s cavs. My friend had a 94 with 60k on it and she totaled it...
|
it was a 1999. had a 5 speed with a bad syncro for 3rd gear. lol made a interesting sound when shifting into 3rd quickly. that and the cooling system was kaput. i traded it to a kid for a mustang. then he blew the engine in it a few months after we traded.

I love the 3.1 ones. They were pretty peppy for the day and made a cool sound. |
My mom had a beretta once...i believe it was a 3.1...only new vehicle she ever got...went through 5 or 6 motors and the motor was blown when it was traded off

achieva SCX are rare. they pop up about 2-3 times a year on ebay.
