Go for one with single inlet and dual outlet. Super turbo is a nice muffler. I had it in my delta and it was pretty quiet. Dont know how itll sound on the eco though. Also, if you are doing this for performance, replace all the exhaust piping. Replacing just the muffler will not do much for performance, just sound.

Is there any point other than looks to having dual outlets/tips? Seems like the extra bends would be more restriction?

I was told not to get the Pacesetter catback from Ion.

I was going to get a Pacesetter Header and this muffler I liked to do new pipping but cost a lot unless someone has suggestions.

DO NOT get the pacesetter system for the 2.2L ecotec.. it sounds fine on my car only because I have the 3400 V6.

on a 2.4L or 2.2L, it sounds like a weed eater fixin to spontaneously combust. its grotesque.

Maybe have it custom fabbed at an exhaust shop. Down here they charged me less than 100 for the piping-the muffler.

Maybe I'll find out and go with the pace header and muffler.

which part?

I am just being told by Ion.

Yeah, pace muffler is a big no no on the eco. The muffler is what gives the exhaust its sound, not the piping. So Im suggesting, for piping go custom (if cheap) and for muffler go with one of your choice. I would get the super turbo.

Valley olds 02-23-2009 11:23 PM

^yeah, or if you want a little louder, magnaflow is known for a nice sound as well. A couple members here also recommend borla.

Don't worry guys I've been PMing this guy back and forth since before he made this thread.

The Dynomax Super Turbo will sound the best.

Extra bends being more restriction on a single inlet, dual outlet muffler? LOL.

Valley olds 02-23-2009 11:31 PM

^hadnt seen that "extra bends" post. Other than looks, there is no benefit, but there is no drawback either.

Sorry. I just want to make sure I am doing this all right and order all the right parts for the muffler shop.

[ion] C2 02-23-2009 11:35 PM

http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/17739/10002/-1
$61.99
