Just say NO to Corvette Calipers

I'll take the "Oldsmobile" Calipers please

I'm not 100% happy with the way they came out, but from 3 feet away they look pretty decent

Anyway:

Blktrax 09-29-2010 07:11 PM

Are those the F-body cast iron or the Aluminum ones?

Gessler23 09-29-2010 07:15 PM

those are sick, where did you get those?

heineck 09-29-2010 07:22 PM

thats cool, i woulda done the rocket sideways tho, so u can see it when theyre mounted

hok666 09-29-2010 08:17 PM

if gessler23 thinks their sick maybe we should get them some medicine! oh no!

AlbinoMonkeyRat 09-29-2010 09:51 PM

is the logo an overlay or a mask? looks pretty decent to me. :)

Gessler23 09-29-2010 09:53 PM

good one hok, i remember when i was in first grade

Malibu369258 09-29-2010 10:53 PM

Like the idea... probably would have went with the Alero lettering instead if I were to do something like this.

Redog 09-30-2010 01:04 AM

I thought about doing "OLDSMOBILE" along the top like how it says "Corvette" but I opted for just the rocket because there isn't enough room to make the lettering look right

Redog 09-30-2010 01:14 AM

To answer everybody else :coolio:

BlkTrax F-Body Aluminum. I have Corvette ones all set-up and then they fell though

Gessler23 Made them keep reading this post

heineck Thought of that too. Didn't look right IMHO

hok666 Na just get me NyQuil for the wintertime

AlbinoMonkeyRat Thanks, it was a decal mask. The color of the emblem is the stock color of the caliper. If I had to do it again (which I might in a few years) I'm opting for a soild decal. This one was 2 lines all the way around

Like jawa said you will need at least 16 inch wheels for this setup if you're wanting to do just the front brake upgrade. If you're wanting to do both front and rear, you'll need at least 19 inch wheels.

Here's a link to the how-to thread that Redog made on the Corvette front brake upgrade. It will give you more information on the setup as well as a list of parts you'll need to order if you decide that's the setup you want to do.
