Camshaft selection service

http://wot-tech.com/shop/all/camshaf.../prod_195.html

I am hoping this will make things easier for everyone when it comes to selecting a cam. The 29.99 for this service is turned into a coupon, so that the cost of the cam will be $300 afterwards, and you will have the best cam already picked out. If you want to select your own cam using the comp cam lobes, I have those listed on the site here.

http://wot-tech.com/RollerCams/compcamlobes.htm

You may find more lobe profiles/cams by looking up LS1 engine cams as well:) The complete comp cams lobe profile library is in pdf form on their site here.

I will be working on the cam pages to allow the intake lobe, exhaust lobe, intake centerline, and lobe seperation angle to be put in when you order. The "stage" cams will be put back up as I have time, and the cam spec cards supplied from Comp will be posted as I sell specific grinds. If you have questions or comments, just post a reply here on the forum.

Sweet! I want to build a new crazy 3500 like no other after I get the bills paid. Unfortunately that won't happen overnight though.

what is the the best cam comp to use that i dont have to change the hole motor i can change a few things like rods rockers but nothin major

alerored04 07-28-2009 04:40 PM

Why would you need to change rods or rockers with any cam? Anyways a rod change seems pretty major to me. Do some more research.

He's probably referring to pushrods, not connecting rods.
Stock con rods are fine for all but extreme builds, and a new cam will require custom pushrods. Stcok cam = stock pushrods; no need to change 'em.

That makes more sense. If that is correct then sorry for the snappy reply. Please use proper English though. Your posts give me headaches without punctuation like that.

ok so if you buy the cam dose it come with new push rods

Redog 07-29-2009 02:16 AM

^^ It sure does, if you pay the money to buy the new rods when you buy the new cam. :p

There isn't a company out there that offers rods with the cam. There are a few that have a cam and lifter set, but nothing like that for the 60* V6

Always a good idea to get the rods and cam together ;)
