B&M shift plus

installed it today, black to the light blue/whit stripe wire, red to the red with black stripe. Defninitly worked, incresed my 0-60 by 3 seconds, and I was on wet pavement this time. Granted I have a WAI on it now to. But after I put it on now it sounds a little rough, almost like a beater. any idea whats causing it?

so your running a 3.6 0-60? you do realize thats around a 12 second 1/4? AAAANNNNDDD vettes and ferraris arent much faster than that.

so no, your not

Chris2000 06-15-2011 11:17 PM

 intakes add maybe 2-3 hp big woop. take it to a track then you'll see the real 0-60 and 1/4 and all that garbage instead of guessing.

By the way, shift kits put more strain on your car so if you're going to be using it daily you're gonna be realizing the affects on the car / your wallet soon.

Also, im not sure how bad these things are for your tranny. Supposedly stage one is mild but stage two is like extreme and forces the line pressure to max. Anybody know how hard these really are?

nice catch lol, thats what I get for skimming

Philbar71 06-16-2011 12:16 AM

But does anybody know if these things damage your transmission?

Cliff8928 06-16-2011 12:27 AM

It shouldn't do any damage. Basically it's just a resistor on the force motor to lower voltage to it as far as I know.

if your transmission is in good shape(no slipping) then not usually, it increases shift firmness, meaning less slip and prolonged trans life.

WOW..............Really.............Really........ .........Really........

heineck 06-16-2011 02:44 AM

dude that things made to at best shave 1/10th of a second on a 1320 u gots the placebo efect

the_weber 06-16-2011 03:24 PM

Using a timer went from 10 seconds to 7 seconds. The reason it is such a huge jump is my tranny slips real bad, if you remember my first post here, and this completley eliminated that.

Gr1m 06-16-2011 04:16 PM

sounds like a bandaid for a problem that will get worse with time imo.

the_weber 06-16-2011 08:25 PM

it is. I just dont wanna buy a tranny until i HAVE too haha

heineck 06-16-2011 11:55 PM
