just got back from MIR

kinda pissed but i guess its good considering the issues with my car. my best run (ran it twice) was my second qualifying run for street stock (i didnt qualify) which was 15.1xx at 91.xxmph. once i get my exhaust fixed i should do muuuuuuch better. im hoping to fix it this week and then back to the track next weekend.

dude i was spinning like no tomorrow!!!

ya right. MIR is sticky as hell, my tires never even thought of spinning. i knew that dyno sheet was BS!

Dude I'm disappointed, I thought with all that work you'd be at least in the low 14's.

not with a clogged cat and a bad o2. i have been told that its robbing 10% or more of my power.

kwhauck 11-05-2006 07:17 PM

yeah you better hope so cuz that 15.1 sucks with all the work you have done.........

yea i know.

and im sure my 36lb rims arent helping any.

Redog 11-05-2006 07:38 PM

Yeah but 10% isn't slowing you down a second in the 1/4

jackal2000 11-05-2006 07:41 PM

here's the run down on my slip. my scanner is broke and my digi cam sucks at closeups. it was a pro tree and remember, this was my first time at the track and my second pass. my first pass i cut a .676 light.

r/t .724
60 2.305
330 6.449

crazyalero 11-05-2006 07:41 PM

wow a 15.1!!! I think this is a challenge TX vs OH...

FutureEcotecOwnerAgain 11-05-2006 07:57 PM

Not sure of your mods, but it seems like you should be faster. And to think that one guy on here with his 2dr Ecotec w/5spd ran a 15.1 with CAI and exhaust, OUCH!!!! That clogged cat is robbing some power, I know when I had my exhaust unbolted during my exhaust swap and I drove around, I guarantee my power dropped. It was laggin bad...

15.2, my bad, LOL. Those heavy rims are slowing you down as well, I didnt realize your rims weighed that much, definately get some lighter ones or switch back to stock. Good luck with getting everything fixed.

crazyalero 11-05-2006 08:15 PM

good luck getting your car fixed and running better. have you done anymore tuning??

thanks, and no i have touched it. its pointless because not only is my exhaust problem restricting power but its messing with my AFR and other computer stuff as well.

jturkey69 11-05-2006 09:05 PM

lol i took that out before i had everything installed because i needed the trunk space for all of the parts. the amps are still in there though. i also had my spare tire and jack. the jack came in handy too, a bunch of us met up at the local mall to drive over to the track and this one integra bottomed out and knocked his exhaust off LMFAO one guy loaned his jack but the car moved and slid off the jack nearly crushing the dude under the rear tire but he got out just in time, it was freakin close. so then i loaned him mine and he got it back together. it was pretty funny when it happened though.

jackal2000 11-05-2006 09:23 PM

maybe i'll buy this sometime this winter
