Stock tweeters
 

I have a pioneer head unit with pioneer 4-way 6x9's in the rear and Pioneer 3-way 4x6's in the doors. 400 watts of bass in the trunk. I still have the stock tweeters. To be honest I can't even hear them really. The majority of the sound comes from the 6x9's. Should I unplug them or craft some aftermarkets in? I listen to rock and metal. Not sure it would make a big difference. The stock ones still work though you can't understand a single thing out of them. Sounds like a suffocating mouse.

Aftermarket tweets would be good. It's always good to have a balanced system. I run the Soundstream SST6.9's of the stock monsoon amp, 2 12"s running 500/1000, stock 4x6's stock tweets and a stock monsoon deck. I listen to mostly rock like Linkin Park but I also listen to some Matisyahu and Stuff as diverse as ben Howard. Well balanced is always the way to go. I couldn't howver get anyone here to tell my if aftermarkets would fit in the stock spot though.

I thought about aftermarkets but I already have 6 tweeters in the car.

@negolien What tweeters were you thinking about installing in the factory position?

I was thinking of going with a 6.5 component set from Polk or Infinity. I will post my wish list somtime this wekend maybe.
