Easy Radio Bezel

Ok i'm gettin a two gauge pod pillar but i have three gauges i am wanting to use.....so i messed around a little bit and found a pretty cool place to put a single gauge

donovandishon 10-22-2010 05:26 PM

1.Remove your radio bezel
2.Get a hole drill bit
3.Drill 2 inch hole(may need to trim depending on fit) where your cigarette lighter is
4.insert gauge

i used an old radio bezel out of a junk alero i bought so i didn't bother removing the cigarette lighter.....in my vehicle i'm thinkin of relocating it or just leaving it behingd the bezel....probably run my radar to it

donovandishon 10-22-2010 07:07 PM

it reads the same....yea theres a pic i used some sand paper and smoothed it out on my actually bezel...just didn't do alot of cleaning on the one in the pic just wanted to practice

donovandishon 10-22-2010 07:08 PM

and for some reason it wouldnt let me upload all of the pics....but as long as you can read it dont see an issue

stop multiposting. it makes things hard to read. You can go back through an edit the last post if you forgot to say something.

also.. make sure your using the proper syntax.. [img]yourimagepath.jpg[\img] (i purposely used the wrong slash, so it didn't think i was posting an image there)

donovandishon 10-22-2010 07:22 PM

wow....and i just copied the links from photobucket....didnt type nething

cherrington17 10-22-2010 07:26 PM

ok... I usually have better luck copying the direct link, then clicking the button that looks like a brown mountain, yellow sky, gray sun, in a little box.

then paste the direct image link into the box that come up.

..and i'm not trying to be a jerk, i've just done a bunch of how-tos on the site, and everyone likes a nice easy to read long first post, with linked pictures. Just giving some tips, so your work is more respected amongst the community.

its cool i didnt think it would be a big deal....saw a few how tos done this way your led one included so i thought that was an ok format...i clicked the insert image button and copied the link and it worked for the first two pics but not the others.....but its cool thanks for the tips

That would look better if you used a gauge that actually matched the bezel (I.E. - black). I essentially did the same thing in my Escort:

btw, you posted this about a year before i did it, and i totally forgot about this thread, but i stuck a switch for my LED's in that cig lighter hole and it fit perfect!! no boring no nothin.

what gauges are you running?
