what do you guys think about starting to get a meet for 09 started? its early yes, but planning never hurts....hel even a new years eve party or somthing..........

so lets get some planage going on here. Personaly I dont mind driving so location isnt an issue and I own my own company so either is time....so lets get to it..lol

I think we should have a drag race meet, like at ATCO or Cecil or something, but then again that would have to be once race season starts in like February.

Um.... HELLO, McFly! If folks were so up for a drag meet they should have shown up at Raceway Park for the BPO (Buick-Pontiac-Olds Get-Together) event at the end of August. Me, Redog, and Jackyll were the only ones who showed up. And Jackyll drove FOUR hours to get there and stayed over in a hotel!!! I advertised it all over the place here the past 2 years. NOBODY from here showed up to the BPO in '07 and only 3 of us were there this year. And that's with the track doing all of the work and giving us an Olds-specific event to run in.

There will mostly likely be another BPO at the end of the summer in '09. Specific drag classes just for Olds cars.

If you do schedule something at another track yo'll most likely have to make special arrangements with the track to allow us to run in our own eliminator class. And if you do get that coordinated anywhere else but RP I'll have to check my race schedule and make sure it doesn't conflict with one of my Points races.
