Papa Rad17 05-10-2012 02:31 AM

wow! how many miles on that engine? are you going to swap in new gauges and shibang or will you be able to tune it in?

billytheman1188 05-10-2012 03:00 AM

80k on that new engine....

So hold on....you didn't have to drop the subframe? wtf.....lol

xXManwhoreXx 05-10-2012 03:56 AM

Lol billy......

jawa 05-10-2012 08:30 AM

Well I was going to drop the sub frame but found I couldnt get the body high enuf. So that was a no go lol.
Papa, yes I will be swapping in a new cluster once all is finished. The new one will reflect the engines mileage, the old engine has 205k on it, My plans for the old one is to turn the block into a coffie table and the heads are going to be turned into a lamp. So I won't be getting rid of the Stock heart. Lol

xXManwhoreXx 05-10-2012 08:47 AM

Wtf creepy i was browsing craigslist to make a block table last night

I seee.....must be a bitch to take stuff off with the engine still in there.....like taking the bolts off the torque converter.....i can't imagine that would be much fun:lol: Or the bolts on the back of the tranny....once the subframe was out everything was cake from there on out. My buddy lives on a farm so he had a tractor he could lift my car up with. Keep up the good work!

Dam that was a effin pita. So as of 445 this friday morning I'm 99% done the engine is in the car every thing is plugged in and plumbed, just gotta stalk the hell out of the mail guy, he's delivering my tce crank sensor kit, after that fire it up, it did turn the moter with the starter after I was finished ans she sounds nice and strong.

I'm exhausted I worked on it all day yesterday and pulled a all nighter to finish it off , I'm going to be taking video of the first fire up. Dam mail man needs to hurry his ass up. Lol. I'll post pix tommorow

Starglow 05-11-2012 07:14 AM

Wow....it sounds like you've made some good progress. I'm not sure who you bought your crank sensor kit from or if you bought the MMS swap kit, but it took several weeks after ordering before mine arrived because some of the parts had to be machined, so just be aware unless you've been in direct contact with your supplier to verify it's already been shipped. I can't wait to hear how your initial start-up goes.

I'll be gearing up to install my LX9 within the next two weeks after I get the sway bars from PFYC....then let the fun begin!

ok a update, still waiting on the crank trigger kit, the block head over at mp racing printed the shipping label but i dont think he droped it off yet at the post office, it was printed on the 5th says accepted on the 9th with a delevery date of the 11th, i went to the post office and they found out that it hasnt enterd the mail stream yet, so i emailed him today and havnt heard from him yet, im slighty effin pissed, this part should have been shipped the day after i payed for it and now my car cant start because of it, uuugghhh

billytheman1188 05-12-2012 02:20 PM

WHY would you order from MPracing? Have you not paid attention to all the HORRIBLE reviews on here about them? Good luck. Should have gone with milzy or wot
