So this is the start of me redueing the Intake, to a Short Ram.. i want to do cold air, but im weary cuz of the area i live in.

But with just the filter, i can hear a difference, as well as a driving difference. how much will this help my fuel mpgs?

and fyi, that orange crap below the filter, is the rust crap that was underneath the stock box.. i will be fixing that prob lol.. count on that

[ion] C2 08-29-2008 10:51 PM

02AleroEco 08-29-2008 11:16 PM

and i am.. i just want to see how the filter would fit.. im gonna get the tubing either this weekend, or nextweek. ill post pics when im finished.

Warm air intake will give you better mpg, cold air intake will hurt your mpg but give you better performance in return. But the mpg difference would probably not be enough to notice either way.

am i better off going straight to the TB or just replacing the stock tube?

USsnipes 09-08-2008 04:26 PM

the stock tubing (before the TB)was the same size as the WAI tubing.... why would removing that matter?

[ion] C2 09-09-2008 12:20 PM

it's ribbed

natedawg9640 09-09-2008 01:03 PM

ribs = air flow resistance

02AleroEco 09-09-2008 09:46 PM

MattismodderX 09-12-2008 10:15 AM

anyone know of a link with the entire cold air intake whatevers all in one spot (so theres no need for a buy filter, buy tube, just buy one thing and u get it all) or a the name of a type of filter would work too (2.2L ecotec)
