The other reason why I liked the Dayco is because like the Gatorback, it's one of the ones designed to not have belt noise (like Gatorback and Gates)

Dayco P-groove, Delco and Gates. Tried them all until going with the Gatorback man. The Dayco crapped out in less than a week, it was horrible and a waste of money imo. Maybe a good design for some, but not good for me at all

Dayco P-groove?

The one I just put in the car (V6 1999 Alero) was a Dayco "poly rib" (sounds more like a condom, doesn't it?). Having said this Dayco used to make one that looked exactly like the current Goodyear Gatorback (except that Dayco was made in Canada where as the Gatorback was made in Mexico). The Dayco's I see now are made in USA and look exactly like a normal belt, except I think just like the Gates there is something different about it:
