was that supposed to say "color"? i think you're talking about wire loom. yes, colored wire loom is merely a borderline rice visual mod.

HazMatt24 03-30-2009 12:02 AM

my intake came with new vacuum tube that was colored, that's why in the pics of my engine you see the blue

AleroB888 03-30-2009 12:05 AM

I use bright yellow/orange wire covers on the important ones I want to keep track of because I'm getting old.

Damn things get all warped and melt somtimes, too. Got heat management issues, I guess.

AleroDrime 03-30-2009 12:06 AM

edit doesnt work for title

AbHeLlRaZoR 03-30-2009 12:07 AM

AleroDrime 03-30-2009 12:07 AM

modalero01 03-30-2009 12:07 AM

On a given day colored wires add at least 50 horsepower ;)

AleroDrime 03-30-2009 12:12 AM

haha thats what i figured
sry dont wanna offenend anybody it thats ur thing dress you engine
just wanted to find out if there was anything other then a visual benefit
fart cans, spanish phrases or letters, jappanese symbols are othere things arent my thing too

AbHeLlRaZoR 03-30-2009 12:18 AM

I think air intakes look good and they perform, I also like the way strut tower bars look they stiffen up the body nicely, also a header makes the engine bay look nice and they perform, turbo's look even sweeter and they perform alot, same goes with superchargers they add a nice touch to the engine bay and they perform. lol but they aren't exactly cheap but in my mind there is nothing wrong with a nice clean looking engine bay.

[ion] C2 03-30-2009 12:23 AM

This is what an engine bay should look like:

it's a stock hood with a scoop over a hole he cut out, to get rid of heat......

cherrington17 03-30-2009 06:06 AM

some guys replace their spark plug wires with better ones, when their stocks get old/cracked/dried out. and those you can buy in different colors.

other then that, loom is a temp thing... it never lasts all that long.

Redog 03-30-2009 10:14 AM

I'm removing my loom and replacing it with heat resistant braiding.

I had some left over

AleroDrime 03-30-2009 10:27 PM

i thought these ecos didnt have wires for the plugs

99alerogirl 03-30-2009 10:28 PM
