Redog ran at Atco Raceway today *Video inside*
OK OK OK OK!!
I ran at Atco Raceway this morning and I did pretty good. I didn't however beat my best time or even tie it, but the last 2 runs I ran a 14.698 @ 91.24 and a 14.696 @ 90.84. Atco suck for the reason that you HAVE to go though the water box, and I was only the 4th car out this morning and the first run sucked due to loss of traction. Long story short I had 2 perfect runs, 3 acceptable runs due to loss of traction, and 2 totally crappy runs due to spinning the wheels about 30 feet. Today's times were:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LytVNZpggkM All 7 runs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC8yEQkkPCY The funniest part about these videos are, there is about an inch of snow on the ground right now :D It really was a last mintue thing to go today :ninja: |
Wow, beaten by a crappy Honda driver who didn't even know where the starting line was. You suck, Ken!
j/k Nice RT's and good runs. Of course I'll never run Atco until they set up to allow you to drive around the water. My car would never hook up down there otherwise. |
wtf december 6th
nice times |
I was amazed I was the slowest car there, until I left and saw a few wanna-bes in V6 Mustangs, stock, thinkin they was teh shinit, yo!
I was following all the RWD cars becuase they were doing heavy ass burnouts. There was 3 Corbas, 5 Vettes, and 6 GTO's there today  |

Thanks, Track's last weekend is Dec 13/14 |
nice runs....
you could have been low 14's/very high 13 if not for that bad reaction time and spinning the tires in run 4 |
the 13th is my birthday, i should go
all of ours up here are closed... i have to wait til the spring to run my mid to low 13 pass :) @NickAlero2000: reaction time is totally irrelevant in 1/4 mile time |

really? how's the time get measured? |
the vid makes all the cars look boxy.
we dun have a track here anymore :( redog - what mods do you have? |
lol EG runnin 12's

On that last one you were on that little bastards ass though. Your camera man needs a damn tripod I thought I was looking at a war movie....Your car still hauls ass...good job!

Two light beams cross the starting-line area and connect to trackside photocells, which are wired to the Christmas Tree and electronic timers in the control tower. When the front tires of a vehicle break the first light beam, called the pre-stage beam, the pre-stage light on the Christmas Tree indicates that the racer is approximately seven inches from the starting line. When the racer rolls forward into the stage beam, the front tires are positioned exactly on the starting line and the stage bulb is lit on the Tree, which indicates that the vehicle is ready to race. Once both drivers have staged their cars in the starting beams, the Starting ("Christmas") Tree is activated by a Starting Line Official. Upon leaving the starting line, each contestant's vehicle activates a timer that is, in turn, stopped when the same vehicle reaches the finish line. The start-to-finish clocking is the vehicle's E.T. (elapsed time), which serves to measure performance and often serves to determine handicaps during competition. Reaction times are a separate measurement which denotes driver's reaction to the starting signal, but has no influence over ET's. Both lanes are timed independently of one another, and the ET clock does not start until the vehicle actually breaks the starting beam just past the 2nd set of Stage lights. Reaction Times indicate how soon after the Green Light comes on that the vehicle trips the starting beam. A perfect reaction time is .000, and if a car breaks the starting beam before the green light comes on the time is indicated by a negative (i.e., -.033) and a red light comes on instead of the green, further indicating a "foul". If you "red light" during competition your opponent wins (unless he red lights first before you do in that race). If both vehicles cover the quarter-mile in exactly their predetermined elapsed time ("Dial-In"), the win will go to the driver who reacts quickest to the starting signal. Because of this, a vehicle may sometimes appear to have a mathematical advantage in comparative elapsed times but actually lose the race. This fact makes starting-line reflexes extremely important in drag racing. |
The car ran 2 back to back 14.69's so I figured that was it, no use beating on the car anymore.
At the end of my 5th run the car was getting hot, so I flipped on the fans and left them on until after I did my next burnout. That with the combo of the low temps cooled the engine down real quick. The times of my runs were 10:42 10:49 10:54 11:01 11:07 11:11 11:17 I'd run, and drive right back to the staging lanes. I was thinking about parking it after the 4th run for a few minutes, but I didn't Quote:
Yeah and the heartbreaking red light is my famous -.001 which I get 3 times and only at import days. Of course the -.004 and -.007 where equally as painful on the points days. My best R/T to date is .004, I think |
Redog, you need this now:
|
NA ftw.
|
N/A = Not Acceptable
You can only do so much with vacuum action, with boost you just turn it up and add more air. |

Very true...... time for redog to go turbo:coolio: |

Redog, you need to add some real power now. Mid 14's just aren't cuttin it anymore :p |
