Sony Xplod issues

Okay so ive had the deck for probably 4 or 5 years without an issue. Shortly after i got my Subs and Amp installed, the inline fuse on the deck blew. So i figured that since i had a full system id get a bigger fuse to be on the safe side. so i got a 25amp glass fuse. originally it was a 15 i believe. that was 5+ months ago. the 25 blew the other day so i got another 25 and it blew, so i tried a 30 and it blew and 3 more 30s and theyve blown. there are no exposed wires and all connections are good.

So i figured that it was a loose speaker wire, so i checked that, and put in another fuse, and it worked for like 15min, then it blew again.

Its a Sony Xplod CDX GT510 or 20.

Is my deck kickin the bucket on me? ive never seen this happen so any advice would be good, thanks

i'm not sure, but i'd assume the fuse doesn't work for anything other than the electronics in the deck. like it doesn't matter what other amps your running.

i'd say it's probably the deck, but try putting it back to the way it was before it kept blowing fuses

now stupid quesetion. Instead of having to pull the dash apart if i do blow the inline fuse again, is it possible to use all factory wiring for the radio? meaning that the fuse would be in the panel on the passenger side. or do i need to have an inline?

Technically speaking you should be using the factory fuse if you used a wiring harness adapter. If you found your own power/ground not through the factory harness then its only the fuse on the actual radio.
