Delphi mass air flow

Hey,
My alero has been running funny lately so I took it into the shop at my school. Hooked it up to the verus pro snap on scan tool and took a look at the live data. Found my issue. Mass air flow sensor was reading low so car been running lean. Ordered a brand new delphi unit from rockauto for $94 with shipping. I hope that takes care of everything and makes my 3.4 feel like a 6 cylinder again.

How did they hook it up, in vehicle with engine running, and with intake tubing? What per cent was it low?

The snap on scan tool is bluetooth, has a witeless OBD plug that you plug in and can read everything that the computer puts out, its like HPtuners, but 3600$ more in price.

Yea its got a wireless unit you plug into the Data link connector and the scan tool itself is like a tablet.

I took the readings with the engine running and the scan tool relayed what the PCM was seeing from the sensor. The engine and everything is stock so I have no mods at all. Factory original MAF sensor. I was reading 3.86 Grams/second with the engine idling at 200*F. WOT only saw readings of around 10 grams/second.

Yeah we got one at my work, but the brand is "Launch", very cool device... But takes some getting used to.

We got one at work too. But nothing compares to a tech2 imo.

Changed out my sensor. What a difference! Car hasn't ran this good since I've owned it the last 3 years. Data readings are better too
