Got piston rings for it so assembly can continue.
got some new wheel bearing for the back and fixed the exhaust with 2.5 inch catback.
dug it of the snow bank and drove it! changed oil with dexos... Which reminds me i need to reset my oil light. Pressure tested the cooling system, removed a side skirt and got a rust repair est.
Drove it from point A to point B and back.
Sorry, did not realize this is the alero appearance section. Well, not today, but last weekend I had it washed and put new pads on it. The old ones were literally bare metal. |

smh I quik waxed my car with mcguires |
i let my car run for a little bit its been in the garage all winter, not seeing snow. lol
had to work today, so just drove it. but this was yesterday :)
valve cover is actually a lot darker, cherry looking red (shitty phone camera) put on new gaskets for all that while it was off, and replaced the black intake box with pipe. |
Stopped and cussed it out in the driveway...
Bought a brand new 12" Type R (600w RMS) to replace my cheaper sub, of which I thought already hit fairly decent. Now my ears feels like I just got home from a concert.....

I did this also. |
its good to see this thread has taken well. -Ion, keep up the good work, i wish my motor looked that nice inside. :)
papa rad17- i still feel like red is a honda color for "valve cover" paint. but looks good! nice intake, is it autozone spectre pipe? i wondered about the pipe, i didnt think it would have all the holes and hood ups for all of the stupid sensors and crap that are attached to my stock intake hose. |
Quote:
the first pipe right off the throttle body is the cheap autozone pipe. then the rest is actual chrome pipe with the K&N filter. It only has the one hole for the sensor, in the first coupling I drilled a hole then sealed the vacuum hose in there and put a breather on the valve cover where the other one would have been. getting rid of that black box helps a ton. |
changed the oil
yesterday, i popped my rear door panel off, and hit the locking mechanism with some WD-40, then vigorously worked the lock rod until it moved some-what freely. and then put the panel back on, and locked the door. Now my driver side rear door is locked and stays locked. :)
yesterday i took my new headlights and cleared the corners. next im painting the bezels. fixed my flashing hid, cleaned her out and cleaned the airfilter.
Today, I'm about ready to take my Alero out and set it on fire... It's falling apart, and the lack of money to fix it isn't helping things...
I just ordered a Pioneer AVH-P4300 dvd player from Amazon to replace the 7 inch flip screen that I have in there now
Can't drive in Indiana... indefinitely, sooo....I looked at her, rode shotgun in her to my parents house for birthday dinner... FAIL
had to take the temporary car port i built over the sedan down... apparently someone in my neighbourhood complained and because i didnt have a permit i had to take it all down and get a permit or face huge fines... in the coupe i finally installed the gauges for the gauge pod, and took off my idi cover to clean it up and paint it...
i drove my car to work and washed it.

My friend had this problem. except his was on his own "private property" and the guy that does all the code enforcing, is a rooster head and thought he was cool and basically said if my buddy doesnt get the permit for the "building" which in all reality it was a tent big enough to fit a car in, he will be fined. funny thing is, the only reason this code enforcer guy messes with my friend, is because- my friend, told the code guy that if he doesnt leave his family alone, hes going to kick his ass. :) |
ya... i was going to buy one of those pop up car tents but with the high winds around my house i figured i would use some wood for the frame instead of the metal poles... according to the building department, it basically boils down to the fact that i need a permit to use wood, but the metal poles do not require a permit... even the inspector said it was a dumb rule, but it is his job and that he gets paid to follow the rules...

there thats what i did today. a Simpson Racing car seat for my baby-only a couple more weeks until shes here. :D it better keep her safe for over 200 bucks :) |

That's funny - I like it. Poeple seem to always get a kick out of my daughter's Recaro car seat.....it matches the front Recaro seats.:) |
after a few days of here-and-there time to work on it i have completed one cleared and painted headlight. still have to try and buff lens more.
Gave my throttle-body a bath last night. Bought a bunch of goodies for the ho today :)
turtle super hard shell waxed
lol i tried to find a recaro seat but i couldn't so i gave up and went with the simpson racing one. it will last us untill shes over 60 lbs. so it was a good investment. I thought about getting racing seats in the front but i dont know which way to go. they have to be comfortable because this is my only car and i take it everywhere.. ha. and i dont want to spend 600+ per seat for a good seat.
