You're talking about these guys: http://www.discounttire.com

We used to use their retail outlets all the time back in the day before there was the interwebs, no complaints.

Yes, i bought one of my hankooks there (after 2 other ones went to shit on me), because they have a life time warranty on the tire. If something happens, ship the tire to them, they send a new one.

It took me a few days to get the tire, its a good site to buy from ;)

irondiezl3 02-01-2009 12:55 PM

really? that would be great they can save me a 100 dollars compared to tirerack. what sucks though, they don't say weather or not the tire is in stock :/ i hate when websites don't do that.

WOW that is cheap! and what an awesome tread design!!

I bought my rims and tires from them. They are a good company they just process orders in a crazy way. You order your wheels, they call you in 24-72 hours verify that they have everything and that you are satisfied with the selection and then authorize the charges and send out your tires. The whole process took about two weeks to get my rims and tires at my doorstep.

irondiezl3 02-09-2009 10:46 PM

i never got a call or email. number still disconected but i got my tires still so im happy. just took double the time they claim. too much psi can make a ride more rough right? anyone know the factory recoomended psi on our aleros? v6 if that matters.

CactusWill 02-09-2009 11:07 PM

I think its 32 all the way around, but to know for sure its posted in the manufacturers sticker on your driver door sill.

irondiezl3 02-10-2009 02:02 AM

please tell me the door sticker can be wrong? pick a website any website that sells tires, pick a local shop any tire shop, even better pick a gm dealer any gm dealer. they all have one thing in common, 2004 olds alero tire size, 215 60 r15. all of them. thats the size i bought and had put on today. im drivng thinking man why is this driving so wierd. did i get a bad tire, mounted balanced wrong. so i checked them both were fine. checked my tire pressure fine. as i look at my door for reccomended pressure i discover this, tire 205 65 r15. wtf is that about. how can every single website shop and gm dealer be wrong? what is my car some random freak of nature designed for different size tires?

Cliff8928 02-10-2009 02:46 AM

205/65R15 (RPO: QMR) was an effective change for the 2004 model year starting with production on 6/30/03. Earlier models had 215/60R15 (RPO: QCD)

irondiezl3 02-10-2009 02:52 AM

so what do u think i do nowthey r already mounted

CactusWill 02-10-2009 03:43 AM

Theres only a slight difference between those 2 sizes. Is the car really not handling right now?

irondiezl3 02-10-2009 10:34 AM

corners great ride very rough looks like tire is almost hitting strut but idk maybe thats normal. so wierd if all aleros r the same frame how does the tire size change on certain 2004s

discount tire direct and www.tires.com are the same thing.

I got my rims and tires from their store down the street from my house and have gotten rims/tires for several different cars there over the years. You can't beat the customer service they provide. I went in to get the rims/tires for my Alero and the guy said he had to order them and it would take a couple of days. He found them at another store and had them ready for me the next day. I went by after I got off work and he had them installed on my car in like 30 minutes after I pulled into their parking lot. Also, they will do flat repair at any of their stores nation wide. You can't beat Discount Tire, IMHO

Oh,and they'll price match too
