Passenger door locks itself when door closes
 

As the title states, my passenger door locks itself nearly every time the door gets closed (ignition on or off). I took the door panel off, used WD40 on the latch, and the problem persists. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help in advance!

replace the door lock or check the wiring to the lock mechanism could be a shorted wire

Thanks for the reply. The issue isn't electrical, it's just that the lock lever above the door handle moves enough when the door closes that it locks itself. Any other ideas?

I took the door panel off and found that moving the door handle also pulls on the lock and releasing the handle makes the lock "lock" the door.
