bonez1203 02-22-2009 06:48 PM

i drilled a hole on the driver side under the dash and used a gromet and ran the 0ga all the way to the trunk i had to remove most of the trim but it was pretty easy car to do an install on

Ah, gotcha, right. That's kinda true.. maybe I should start trading stocks or something and hope it goes as good as my other various projects go lol.

AleroDrime 03-29-2009 04:35 PM

What the eff??!! Is this shit even right, I can't find it nowhere! Is that the grommit or am I completely wrong?? Somebody with this done, please post a picture.

cherrington17 03-29-2009 04:53 PM

all that carpet/matting needs to be pulled back. its to the left and above where that is.

its a gray grommet about the size of the palm of your hand.

Ha Ha Ha Random:lol: My advice is to just do what everyone says with the coat hanger and boot that's what I did and it worked good run the power under the drivers side molding and the RCA wires under the passenger side.

dhurst765 03-29-2009 07:36 PM

i am running 8 ga from the aux thing by the fuse box running through the door to a sony xployd 1000w amp to two 12" rockford punch p2's. u dont necessarely need a head unit i am using my stock stereo with a line output converter

DON'T run it through your door. thats lame and a electrical risk.... not to mention, looks like hell.

Fi-Alero 03-29-2009 09:14 PM

I ran all three of my runs of 1/0 under the car and into the trunk.

We had a guy come up to the shop with his wiring through his door jam. We give him the usual warning that it is a fire hazard and he gives us the usual "my buddy hooked this up and he has been installing for years."
So when he got in his car to leave, he closed the door, and immediately smoke started pouring from it lol. He ran inside begging for help.

AleroDrime 03-29-2009 10:10 PM

yeah.

AleroDrime 03-31-2009 11:43 PM

i got it through the grommit
