Store/Site purchased: DoctorSpeed.com
Cost/Shipping: $180.00
Store service, contact, delivery, problems, props: delivery is TERRIBLE, customer service is TERRIBLE "Never suggest ordering from this company again"
Initial product impressions, quality: Good
Instructions, good, bad, none, etc: Good
Installation notes, easy, hard, PITA: Easy
If not self installed, cost of installation: n/a

Performance, appearance opinions: really good sound, cleared up alot of room in my engine bay.
Any other thoughts about the product: n/a

I would never suggest anyone to order from Doctorspeed. I ordered this product way before naich was making his cai's again. Delivery took around a month and I ordered new spark plugs and wires which I still have not received. Let me note that I ordered this all december 18th. I have emailed drspeed numerous times with 1 reply last month saying that they were back ordered. I have called his business number which I got off my cai package and left numerous messages with no reply.

I think PFYC is selling them now, for same price. (not instock though)

Just wanted to tell everyone how bad of a company dr. speed is before someone from our site supports him again. Im notifying the police next friday the 17th if my wires and plugs arent at my door. I have all the paperwork that shows that I payed for it and my bank statement that shows the money being withdrawn out.

doubleN0alero 02-08-2006 10:01 PM

should have bought naichspeed...

Menace 02-08-2006 10:04 PM

you guys stopped producing it for a while, during this time I wanted one :)

AlbinoMonkeyRat 02-09-2006 01:58 AM

IMO: if you don't want to support Dr. Speed, you might want to take off "Doctor Speed CAI" from your sig, and change it to just "CAI" that way if/when n00bs ask you about it, you don't inadvertantly give Dr. Speed more business and the n00bs an unnecessary hassle.

Yah didnt even realize, will do.

That's a shame for the Alero community as a whole. I didn't have that type of experience at all. The guy had excellent and timely communications throughout. However, I bought mine almost two years ago.

I remember him posting here regularly...has he pretty much disappeared?

Sorry to hear about your experience. That truly can be frustrating!

derek_ski99 02-21-2006 12:19 PM

hmm menace i didnt have that experience at all. just because you had a bad experience doesnt mean everyone else will (i guess the tables have turned now huh?)

exnine@gmail.com 03-06-2006 12:33 PM

I had a pleasant experience as well. I Even changed orders, and Colors. And they still got everything right. And within reasonable shipping time.

Coupe 03-06-2006 12:56 PM

I got mine 2 years ago.
Communication was GREAT and i had it at my door 3 DAYS after i ordered.
You just had a bad experiance, it happens on the net now and then even with good company's.

Um no, thats RSM and not only that its a WAI not a CAI.

strtrydr 03-07-2006 02:23 AM

I just recieved my order from Dr. Speed and although the shipping was slow (which could be because im on an Air Force Base), i was very impressed with their product.

The Cold Air Intake was very well packaged w/ bubble wrap.

The only problem that i had was that it came with no directions. (They gave me a website address which only had instructions for their cold air box.)

Overall I thought that they were a good company.

Coupe 03-07-2006 08:10 AM

You dont really need instructions for a cai.

Menace 03-07-2006 08:48 AM

Yah well I ordered my new spark plugs and wires back in december when I ordered my cai and...I still dont have them!! Ive called them and emailed them with no reply multiple times, so I reported it.

battistoni21 03-07-2006 10:11 AM

Good job, I dont blame you at all. At least everyone knows now not to deal with them or get anything off of them. Hopefully the police or someone fixes stuff as soon as possible for ya.

Menace 03-08-2006 08:15 AM

I hope so its a slow process. To bad he couldnt just send me what I ordered. It was only like 50 bucks.
