New v-band flange on exhaust to eliminate leakage noise/vibration.

The wheels/tires were also taken from some other Oldsmobile and were a horrible size. The tires were so large that the inside section of the tread was completely shaved down due to contact with the strut. No shit the suspension makes noise (dealer told me). Put wheels from red car on to be safe.

Lots of rust spots.

Taking it apart.

Surprise, rust is worse than expected.

All new metal formed and welded in here and at gas door.

All dings repaired. Undercoated. Both fenders new.

Ford - Dark Blue Pearl Metallic

Right after paint.

Switching suspension and brakes from red car over.

Goodies came in.

New wheels.

All new speakers and headunit.

Stripping down the engine for removal.

Ready to pull out.

Boner achieved

Nice color. I wish you picked grabber blue though.

Light blue looks ugly. It would've came out like DOHC_tuner's abomination.
I wanted it to be a non-Alero color, but for it to look factoryish. I love this blue in person.

So what was your bitch with the dealer you didn't have to buy it but nice redo work on it. Looks Sharp

deceiving after telling me he fixed the brakes. tires were worn to the steel on the rear. could've advised me of its unsafeness after the title was handed over when he knew i had a 2 hour drive home. guy acted like a master mechanic when in fact many things were just covered up and hacked together.

sell the car when the stock engine from the blue one gets put into it

there would be a lot of work for you to make it 3400 and you couldnt use the 2.4l tranny

Chris, how much are you looking to get out of the red car after motor is swapped? if its super cheap i might want it. let me know.

maybe i just want it for a 3400 5 speed :P just have everything there to do the swap lol

but it already has the manual sub frame shifter ect and such and the tranny would be for my girlfriends cavalier she has the ecotec in it as well and her tranny is toast
